DislikedSo we should make a TAF indicator?
Not trying to be rude, but I don't think that is possible.
TA can work, just look at the J16 thread. but no indicator can tell you what price will do next, only a probability.
I am a huge fan of J16 and direct noobs there without hesitation because it is simple and very high probability trading. Still do it myself some.
In the end, TA is a fallacy because price moves and the indicator tells you what happened. Nothing more or less.
Not to say it can't work when used properly but it can't predict...Ignored
Dislikedtub,
TA is not A fallacy.
But there are many fallacies in the way its being used.
same as Fundamental Analysis.
many fallacies.
easy identify them.
Just few post ago came a LAYMAN believes he is ANALYST.
Because many peeps publish LAYMAN stuff, nearly everyone on earth thinks they are analyst after reading a book.I believe is called propaganda. Easy to believe everyone is also master of the universe.
Same as those read some medicine books, thinks they Doctors.
The markets weeds them out regularly, but like weeds they keep...Ignored
DislikedTechnical analysis works quite well for me after I found out how to use it correctly. All I need now is support/resistance + trend lines and an overview of supply+demand in the market. If it was all fallacy it wouldn't exist and hedge-fund wouldn't spend billions every year researching it.Ignored

DislikedYes sir. I think I spoke in a bit of broad context. I actually use some trendlines, S&R & fibs.
Guess I was thinking more in the terms of being rigid and expecting something to happen just because that line is there.
Got my butt kicked many times for thinking that.Ignored
DislikedGood for you, i am glad you doing so well.
Did i say that TA is all fallacy?
Seems you have professional affilation from your profile.
Seems you also have an MO.
Hows about start a thread and teach some peeps your great knowledge?
But i must point out, 1 flaw in your thinking.
no one is spending billions every year researching it.
maybe billions spent buying the bullshit.
Do whatever suits you.
We still need make your money.

DislikedIndeed, I have done all the indicators, swings, support/resistance trading with stops but couldn't get anywhere, and then I found your way of trading which is the easiest and simplest way of trading without getting rigid and without having rules in trading.and now people think you are God and I think you are one good soul sharing what the reality is.

DislikedI didn't say anyone said anything, I'm just going by what I've read throughout the thread and the headline, giving my honest opinion of what I think TA is worth. I would share all my great knowledge, except I'm not in possession of it. If I was I'd be relaxing on my private island in the Caribbean right now.Ignored
Dislikedmust be my reading bad.
You said "If it was all fallacy"
No one said it was all fallacy.
The title of tread reads "Technical Analysis Fallacy"
It doesn't read, All technical Analysis is Fallacy, or, Technical Analysis is A Fallacy.
If you are successful, relaxing on a caribbean island is not an option. You will be meaningfully working hard everyday. Taming markets is more enjoyable than relaxing in the caribean.Sure, somedays you will be just relaxing under the coconuts.

Dislikedunderstand totally, no problems my friend,
I believe now you understand and better now.
As you practise you will be better.

DislikedThen I apologize, I got the context wrong.
If I was successful enough to tame the markets, I'd probably have my trading desk in the Caribbean, not the rainy English countryside. Doesn't mean I would stop tradingIgnored
DislikedYes sir, A little more each day.
Practiceing with pennies on a $100 account.
Averaging close to $1 per day now.
Truly ant work.Ignored
DislikedLets not forget that some people earn $100 per annum and are still happy!Ignored
Dislikedok, you can live on that?
you must be real wealthy.
I like your training mindset.
so much effort for so little gain. Feets on the ground, until you get it right. Hard worker.
nomatter, time will come when you mastered it.
Then you slowly do it for your wealth management.
For now is better make the $1 then to lose $1.
regardsIgnored
DislikedNope, can't live on that.
Still pay the bills by refinishing bathtubs & countertops. 2 jobs a week pays the bills so I have time to trade.Ignored
