Outside day down and still under the 18DMA (@1654). Does anyone pay attention to the CRB index when trading XAU? CRB trending down

Some telling numbers on thurs and fri. Perhaps holding in range until more direction at the end of this week.

Been looking into trading gold for a while, when it tanks it tends to move alot, fast. Looking at the charts for the past few months it seems to adhere well to breaking out and making a high or low, pulling back making a higher low/lower high then continuing on its direction, hmm.

reversal so now its an outside day up. Didnt take long either. Above 18DMA and $30+ range. Next resistance 1679 (sloping line from recent tops) and near the 38.2% fib at 1681.3.

Yeah...that is interesting.

My understanding is the dodd frank bill killed it....margins requirements....no leverage in USA...what else...anybody add to that?

Bottom with a daily close above. Let's see if the blue line can act as support now.

That interim support line sure came in handy.

I think bulls have work to do.

This H4 chart seems to validate the slope of this descending channel.

Better have a stop loss in place in case your cycle gets a flat before reaching $2500.

Ahh except Silver for the year so far is up 13.5% - Gold is up 6% or less than half as much.

If Gold was up that same percent it would be at $1776

So which is the one not keeping up?

On the daily.....looks like we might have a huge inverse head and shoulders if it goes down to about 1600 next few days??

Anyone see that too?

1985 to 2002 Silver's average price was around $5
Gold's average price for the same period $300 - $350

The market should line them up as gold and silver, both have the same uses, one is still used as a reserve, the other is not so.....

(RTTNews) - The dollar was generally weaker Wednesday morning in New York, as the Federal Reserve prepared to release its Beige Book, a compilation of anecdotal evidence on economic conditions from each of the 12 Federal Reserve districts.
Traders will be looking for clues about the whether the Fed will conduct further asset purchase programs in support of the nation's economy. The report is out at 2 pm ET.
