Hi,

I read most of this thread and it looks good. It still need a lot of common sence as well.
I tried system on live accound - sounds promising (1win/1loss).

Could everybody write result from this trading system? Please write % profit/loss on weekly/monthly base, TF and number of trades.

Hello - Just wanted to share a little tip I read about yesterday. I know most people following this system don't trade USDCAD because of it's range-bound tendencies, but put the 24th of the month in your diaries: Canada is a big oil exporter to the US and one of the big oil futures expires around that date (can be a couple of days later). This tends to cause the USDCAD to fall significantly at close of business NY time on the 24th or a little after.

I've had a quick scan over the charts for a couple of years and it's fairly consistent.

Watch the pair on that date and look for engulfing patterns at key resistance levels. Could be a nice easy money maker :-)

Why does it happen? I assume it's because when the oil is paid for at the end of each month the US traders and importers have to sell US dollars to buy Canadian dollars. This pushes the USD down and the CAD up at the same time. The pair that will benefit from this change in balance the most will be USDCAD, hence it's the best pair to trade to take advantage of this fundamental.

The support for it is there in the charts. Have a look what happens to the price around the 25th to 27th of each month.

I just wanted to send you a big thank you

When I have time, I trade off the 15 minute chart, but I have a day job and can not give the charts the time required, so I wanted to find a system that worked well with 4 hour charts, and your system is exactly what I was looking for.

Since the rules are simple, I can see that the thread may not stay active because there is no tweaking required.

Anyways, just wanted to send my appreciation.
