Hello, everybody!
I'd like to discuss your opinion about brokers who offer trading with small deposits. Why many brokers offer deposit starting from 500$ while others from 50$, 40$ or even less? Is it good to start with small deposit?Give your reasons and experience, please.
Accounts with low deposits are great for newbies, since it minimizes the risk and allows them to trade with live accounts. Yes, the trader is not going to rake much by way of profits on account of a small account..
But yes, micro and mini accs are perfect for beginners.

It's coming down all the time, now more and more brokers are offering accounts with just $10-$200 minimum deposit.
Brokers do offer mini and micro accounts, starting with very low deposits - no shocker there. And in a way this is good for the beginners since their risk would be kept to a minimum.
And remember, to do a demo before opting for any live acc..
Think big. Dream big. Start small.
I agree that if you open an account with small deposit you minimize your risks. And you can practice withought big financial losses. Also it's very important for me that broker should have tight spreads and no requotes. Of course, to my mind, it's practically impossible for broker to have NO requotes.

There are br0kers, that guarantee no-requotes. One of them is Armada Markets where I opened an account last week. Done more than 400 trades with them now and have given ZERO requotes. I believe there are also other, good br0kers like this if for some reason you don't like Armada.

I think you should understand the difference between two types of execution: instant and market execution. It's true that there are no requotes on market execution but at market execution your orders will be opened at a worst price. So, for me is far more interesting instant execution where requotes may occure but I will open orders at a reall price.
The only problem I've run into with opening accounts with <$100 is that the spreads or commissions tend to be much higher than standard or regular accounts depending on the brokerage used. So make sure you receive decent trading conditions for your deposit.

That's why I like places like Oanda, and Pepperstone.. both offer the same conditions on all their sizes.

Oanda's min is a buck... and you can 1:1 leverage that in a trade if you'd like.. lol (as pointless as that is.)

Seriously speaking, this is one reason why I wasn't comfortable with Alpari.. they demo everyone on their pro account, then sign people up to a much worse (cost wise) account without making the difference very clear to new users. I wouldn't have had an issue getting a Pro account myself, but my thoughts were, if this is how they act as a business, I don't wish to find out how bad it gets in other areas of their operations.

If you stick with micro accounts you are going have to live with Market Maker conditions. If you want better trading conditions, deposit more and get an ECN account.

We do offer different kinds of demo accounts. Each specific demo account type reflects the conditions of its live account counterpart.

It's true.But how is it possible from all brokers which offer STP accounts to find the REAL STP broker?
As for Alpari, I appreciate that you pay your attention to this thread but I would like to ask You: why your company doesn't pay money to your IB partners and always change conditions of your IB programme? It is simply fraud.

They do this so people that don't know how to trade open a 50 USD account trade 1 micro and the trade blows up the account.

Then you put in more money.

It is just a way of making it more attractive and easy to trade FX.

You can't do shit with a 50 USD account. No matter what kind of math you come up with. I've heard it all before, IF I make x by 1 week, then I will risk double and by four months my 50 USD account will be 400.

Never happen. One bad trade in this method and all your profit is GONE.

Low deposits like a few hundred (500) on the other hand are fine for trading micros.

I don't believe any broker accepts less than 50 bucks for a micro account, unless you are trading at 1:400 leverage or something silly.

All US accounts are 1:50 leverage. Others should try it.

US conditions suck. Besides the 1:50 leverage, that is smart.

My close friend earned in your IB programme not more than $200 and planned to continue attracting traders to you. But then it sudenly turned out that your company is not even able to pay such a "HUGE" sum of money and continues to invent new and new conditions for partners programm. As a rule, company pays money or simply is a FRAUD.
