Although not part of the rule it is good to check the direction of the TDI in the H1 timeframe chart and not trade against it.

In hindsight look at the the AUD/USD H1 timeframe chart below the short trade was at the yellow vertical line and the TDI was on its way up.

It is funny... i made exactly the same mistake as the trade that you are talking about.
Its like 98% identical.
Oh well ill have that in mind for the future

Look for volatility to drop off tomorrow and Monday, as it's a public holiday in the UK. It'll be interesting to see how much this changes the results of the system during these times!

Just one thought on this trade, as this is something I have come to employ often with the TDI:

I find the angle of the crossover of the green/red lines to be of high importance. In the image you posted, the angle of the drop has actually greatly reduiced. If ever the angle is becoming less than where it was before the cross, I find that the trade doesn't have enough steam left in it.

This is just something I have employed elsewhere, but it might be of use to you in the future.

I will be lazy ... but I will do some backtests, too. Happy Easter !

Speaking of backesting, one little suggestion from me.
You guys remember that we shifted our clocks several days ago and added one hour. This has probably affected your charts, so have that in mind when you are doing your backtest.
What i mean is that on my charts (alpari UK) london open is at 10:00am now, but it was 9:00 (and it is still on the charts when i backtest). before the time shift. i am sure that this sounds like total non-sense, so ill tell you how can you check.

heres one chart posted by Loveevery1 a month ago (please excuse me for reposting your chart buddy, but i am too lazy to look back for the actual link for the chart).

So go back to 2nd of march on your charts and mark that cross that Loveevery1 marked as an exit candle. I am sure that you will find it easy. (its 15.45 on alpari UK charts). Now just count the bars back to US open and you will know the right opening time for the US market which will give you the london open too.

It may look like a long non-sense topic, but in my opinion this is important for backtesting, because as you know there are a lot of fakeys before london open and if you ignore the thing with the time shift you might include those in your backtest results (as you might assume wrong london opening time, like 1 hour before the actual, because of the time shift).

Once again, Loveevery1 i hope you dont mind that i used your chart. thank you.

EDIT: Actually you would miss the first hour after london open, because we shifted +1 hour. Again, i believe it is important for your backtesting to know the right opening time of the London and us markets.

Loveveryone, could you please post a graph with a fakey and describe your price action analysis thought process behind it. Or any other reason why you did not take the trade.

I would would be interested to see what else do you take into consideration apart from the basic rules of your system.

I was backtesting your system and got caught into few false setups.
Could you also tell us what pairs are you trading these days?
