OANDA fxUnity - Anyone tried it?

OANDA has a new online platform, fxUnity. It works differently than most platforms I've seen.

I opened a demo account with it, and basically when using this platform, the trader is trading currency "baskets". So you pick a currency, like EUR, and you're trading a basket of that currency vs. other major currencies.

It's interesting, and I'm just going to play with the demo for awhile.

Anyone else using this, for live or demo? What do you think of it?
Haven't tried due to the fact that OANDA europe doesn't allow he to join at the moment, But I love the concept of Baskets, AS LONG as we can modify them as some baskets (in my view) are overweighted to certain currencies. Or that we can make our own baskets and index them at 100 at a set time. I would absolutely love this.

Either way looks good.
Will check it out later, but did they provide more info, details?

Why you guys don't fix your constant disconnections and platform freezes before spiting lame new products to the market?

Platform stability is our primary concern at OANDA. When there are technical issues they are addressed and there is never a hidden agenda or OANDA manipulating those issues to our benefit.

The new fxUnity platform gives traders a new option to trade currencies with the same goal as fxTrade to provide traders the best trading environment.

Yep, I know! I traded with you guys for 4 frigging years and I lost count of how many times I heard that "platform stability is you guys main concern" yet the platform never performs.

It kind of reminds me when people from the government says that " a strong dollar is their main policy", LOL !
Pre-made baskets... this is awesome!

Too bad I do see any info on when this is coming to Oanda Canada (*sadface*)

QuadrupleX is right. This is like a car build with a deliberate problem in the engine, but instead of working on that the manufacturer introduces some new cool option distracting clients from the real issue.

It seems that oanda has created their own version of Dollar Index, Yen Index, Euro Index etc, and asked us to trade this newly created index. Those basket indexes derived from oanda internal calculation only and there is no other place to verify if the value is valid, unlike normal currency pairs, we can straightaway refer to other ECN feeds for official quote. We are also unable to modify the basket composition as it is fixed by oanda. Those new oanda "indexes" should be act as a reference only and not for trading. I suggest Oanda let us customized the weightage and composition of currency pairs for each basket. Eg, my own Dollar basket only has Eur/Usd and Aud/Usd, so as I long the basket, Oanda just long Eur/Usd and Aud/Usd according to the weightage I set.

I dont quite understand the concept of this fxunity , are they trying to make something like zulutrade? But you cant really see any statistics , no performance history of traders. You just copy manually some random trades..?
