I'm hoping an experienced coder can help with this project.
The idea is that a small icon will be placed on the chart every time price crosses a PIP line. These icons will accumulate, and the latest cross will have not only an icon for that cross, but for every other cross on that same price as well. Example shown below. The red icons are past crosses, and the black icons are the total of every cross on that same price. Notice that the latest icons go forward (to the right) on the chart, creating a kind of heatmap S/R line. The more crossings, the longer this line will stretch to the right.
Inputs Wish List:
1. Choice of several different icons (dingbats) (at least 10 choices -- e.g., 6-pointed star, arrows right, arrows left, arrows up, arrows down, diamond, square, hollow circle, solid circle, smiley face, thumbs up, and so on...)
2. Icon color and size selections. Size given in points (pts)
3a. Frequency selection #1: draw an icon drawn at every pip crossed within the lookback TF; at every 5th pip; every 10th pip; every 17th pip; every 29th... and so on. This should be a blank fully customizable setting for any number between 1 and 100.
3b. Frequency selection #2: This requires at least 2 filtering parameters to cross-reference the icon placements. Parameter #1 is Lookback, and #2 is Desired Minimum Frequency. E.g., User chooses 10 days for Lookback, and "30" for Desired Minimum Frequency. Now the indi will only show where the same price has been crossed at least 30 times (and possibly more) over the last 10 days. Both parameters are blank fully customizable settings. This is my preferred method.
4. Lookback setting -- i.e., locating and marking crosses going back -n- days (ex: 100 days worth of data)
5. Older icons will be one color, newest icons will be a different color, just like in the pic. Customizable color selections for each.
That's it. I hope someone likes the idea enough to help code it. Many thanks in advance!
Always open to constructive comments and suggestions...
