Thanks for sharing... I calculated my pivs for next week as well and realized that price will more than likely open below the mid point which should push price back down a bit.

For AU price is rising up from a major support, if it is bullish it doesn't matter if price opens under the pivot this week.

Hi . I just wanted to say its an honour to be posting and learning along side you both. You two really are gifted traders.

Im inspired to learn to be a good trader from witnessing both of your trading first hand. The journey ahead for me involves lots of dedication to achieve my goal ( I still make many basic errors) , but its encouraging seeing others succeed along the way. Thankyou.

Im taking another step in improving my trading by learning to understand price action more clearer. I have located some solid teaching with wmd at his website. help is available with live trading during the London session each day too.

( wmd is a member here at ff. )

Now the most important structure Im being taught is the hook structure, which I think is in one of Frank Dilernia books too.

Hi Amy would you buy in down here on AU at 1.0450 or stand aside ?
Im not sure if its going lower or not from here.
AU is below the daily 50% levels at 1.0468.
Also below the weekly mid at 1.0485.
Also still below the single monthly lows.

now hitting 3x4 hr lows at 1.0442 + 1.0435.
next support 5x4 hr lows at 1.0435 + 1.0424.

Im standing aside at the moment. The 3x daily lows are now at 1.0393 + 1.0374.

I am a buyer down here, it could still go lower, to around 414ish but overall my view is it will rise over the coming weeks.

Yes I think AU is going up too.
Timing it correctly to buy in is a big challenge for me.

I would like to buy into EU at the 5 x daily 50 % level at 1.3285.
Or the monthly mid at 1.3260 too.

yes very true.

Amy these range bars are the bees knees for sure. thank you for sharing. there was 480 pips here in the recent movements of AU. awesome.

I wondered where you had 1.0414 from. This was a good prompt for me to think some more. Finally I looked at my range bar chart. mine is 1.0413 for the completion of this current 80 pip bar.

337 was an 80 bottom as well. Hopefully 414 turns it around similarly. This the chart i use the most for entries, along with the 160 and 40 pip charts.

edit, but 421 was daily lows for the day so maybe London will just take it up without doing 414 or maybe I am wrong and price is bearish, who knows anything can happen.

I added along with you at 1.0423 due to price bouncing off of my Daily S1 at 1.0420

cool I finally entered long 1.0418. I want to see a 30 - 40 pip move up from here then a pullback within the 30- 40 pip zone from the low 1.0412 without the low price being touched at all . then up from there. very nice if it plays out like this.

30 pips up from the low looking good. my 1st condition is confirmed.

Amy what size stop do you normally use on a trade like this ?

I consider this a major buy in. Im using 20 pips stop from the low max.

A/U traveled a little lower than I was expecting but it looks like support was found again.

yesterday was worth the attempt to buy. AU is going to touch this main up trend line starting from the 4th quarter of 2011 before moving up.



the buy in zone for the 2nd quarter is 1.0320 - 1.0335. If AU goes under 1.0320 I seriously doubt it will go under by any more than 5- 20 pips.

I am sitting until next quarter, if price is under the q2 midpoint then that opens up a very bearish scenario for me, I would probably want to trade shorts for the rest of the year. but lets just wait and see.
I'm still holding the longs i have though until that scenario becomes a probability.

EU monthly

I want to hold my eu longs until the 1.36 area which should hit in April. A breakout of that area makes 1.49 the next target, or if that is solid resistance then price should break the jan 2012 lows and probably move down for the rest of the year.

GU is looking very bullish currently, the yearly pivot comes in at 1.5853, if price can close the quarter above that level then that would set up a move back to 1.66 in Q2. This might give us some clues about what to expect from EU.

yes GU seems to be leading the market now in terms of curriences. this week is simply profit taking before the new quarter. a new month lows and 2nd quarter 50% level if AU opens the new month supported like that 1.0320 is my pick to play out like this then upwards to 1.12 area. I dont think EU will go below 1.3250 weekly support.

I think we can manually calculate the new quarter 50 % level for AU now. It will not be perfect but AU has already put in the hghs + lows for the quarter.
