why many traders still trading spot forex than binary option? Is that hard to learn binary option or it's more difficult? I just wondering why. thanks for the information

binary is new way to trade, so less people.
It is not well known as well.

Yes, if you think the price will rise, you buy (also called a 'call'). If you think the price will fall, you sell (also called a 'put').

I find it peculiar that Nadex chooses to price their 2hr binary options using the market prices 10 minutes before the top of each hour. I can't help but wonder if the fluctuations of price is connected to that particular time. Hmmmm....

have i got this right??? once you buy the option it is sealed. you can not bail early with partial profit or loss?? i dabbled in stock options some years back. mostly straddles. frequently i wanted to bail earlier than expire date. many times that resulted in a lessor profit or less than if the option expired. if true of binary, that is the Achilles heel as far as i am concerned. true you might have better risk/reward, but for me going out more than one hour just doesnt fit in my profile. and as i understand the short time frame the lesser reward. can we get comments from you bright sparks that understand all this??? in your opinion what is the best time frame to target??

The options do not seal thus you can trade in and out of them as many times as you wish. The time frame you trade just depends on what type of trader you are IMHO. I’m like you and prefer to trade the shorter time frames and attempt to take advantage of the volatility they offer.

Can you tell me which broker you are using that allows you to close the binary early and take partial profit/loss. None that i can find.

Further Investopedia disagrees with you. Below is their definition of binary options as being all or nothing. Therefore i can not see any benefit of binary over vanilla options, what ever the underlying asset. Further the pay out on vanilla can be many times the common percentage of binary.

Investopedia explains 'Binary Option'

A type of option in which the payoff is structured to be either a fixed amount of compensation if the option expires in the money, or nothing at all if the option expires out of the money.

These types of options are different from plain vanilla options

Also sometimes referred to as "all-or-nothing options" or "digital options.
For example, suppose you were interested in buying binary call options for common shares of ABC company with a strike price of $50 per share and a specified binary payoff of $500. If the stock is trading above $50 when the expiration date is reached, you would receive the $500 payoff for your option contract. However, if the stock is trading below $50 per share at the expiration date, you receive nothing.

All or nothing at expiration. Prior to expiration some brokers will let you close them early. I use Nadex and they allow early close. I have risked as little as $10 per contract for a reward of $90 per contract.

I trade with Nadex ( www.nadex.com ) By definition Nadex is an exchange but trading with them is not much if any different than a brokerage account. The binary’s they offer again do allow you to trade in and out as many times as you wish but as Lonestar pointed out in the previous post at expiration it is all or nothing. Hope this helps!

I have seen single orders of $30,000 per trade in a single day, but my broker tells me that they are bringing in some huge banks into the fold.

You can order up to 50 contracts at once, and then you simply have to wait for the order board to refresh and you can simply order more.

I really don't know the size of the markets though, but for most of us retail traders it's good enough. Best to simply call up IG Markets or Hedge Street and ask them.

I would like to know if any of you guys trade with a broker/betting company that provides fixed odds betting on a week or month basis? Not just daily from 9 to 9.

I heard about 60-85% payout if u win & 0-15% payback if u lose,,,so how can u profit 90$ on a 10$ investment?

If i'm wrong ,,kindly make it plain for me,,

Simply look at it this way
You have a broker giving u 85% for eurusd .... u enter with 10usd and lose... he gives u 15% return of ur 10 usd...

If you win u get 10 usd plus 8.5 usd
