AU trade..Momentum slowing so took the short..

good trades mate , though the second ones looks risky in my opinion , there was no div for eu on my chart (stoch) , so i avoid short as it has already broken a resistence.

Ya i am using cci for divergence so its a little different then the normal stochastics..Your trading well today?

yes mate i am on break even today , just trading eu yet , no other pairs

Sometimes i watch M1 candle formation (not single candle) for retest, to get faster confirmation, rather than waiting bigger TF confirmation.

Hi Kai,

I noted that you take a lot of counter trend. "A loss in momentum is NOT a sign of trend reversal". I did not understand this truth but I do now by many painful of counter trend trades. I do not give up counter trend trade. I'll try later after I can be profit with trend first. If you can not resist the attraction of counter trend, try to be fast and happy with 1:1 RR. Just my opinion

Hi Simply,what you say is very much true thats why i dont wait to get a big profit.nobody knows if it will reverse or just a retrace.

hi all in the thread good trading today pipmunks just found this thread (new to ff) your trade was almost exactly the same as mine (i was filled at 3070 and tp was 3110 just out of intrest though where abouts did you place your stoploss if you placed one mine was just under the fairly strong support of 3040 just wanted yours and anyone else's thoughts on this trade (always like to speak about current and past trades)

Hello johny, welcome to the thread .
About stoploss placement, based on my experience, i like to place stoploss few pips below or above current signal. I usually determine this extra pips based on current market volatility, i'm using ATR to look at current market volatility.
I'm doing this way for some reason, many times in the past i entered a trade, market just quickly hit my stoploss ( which i placed too tight) then reverse to my direction. It's kind of frustrating when you face situation like that. You can choose to place your SL above/below signal candle, or above/below your pre-determined support/resistance zone. It's a personal preference, tight stop or large stop. With tight stop, you can expect bigger RR ratio, with large stop you give some extra room for price but can't expect bigger RR. I hope this can help you .

EU. Enter break of Inside bar on 5M from demand area I found at 1H chart. +13
Reversal trade, but having some difficulties trading with trends lately. I have to learn a lot from you guys. Thanks for sharing to all of you.
