Those are impressive results. I can't duplicate it. I have written my own EA and I'm trying to figure out the difference. I see you use the 200EMA, but I don't see how you use the 10EMA. Would you run yours in visual mode, with the template, and show me a couple of your positive trades. This may help. Our send me log of your trades and then I can try to match them up to my screen. Regarding software for making screenshots, please try "Jing" it's very easy to use, and gives you many features like using arrows, boxes, lines, and of course text on any screenshot you will make.

I believe that it will help you, and save your precious time

I've attached a screen shot for the 3 most recent trades and an excel file showing 1/1/2011 till now. I've made some more improvements and I'll post those later.

Your right I don't use the 10EMA as it does not help much based on my backtesting Instead I use CCI. I also use a trailing stop.

I forgot to mention that my back testing results really didn't produce good results until i changed the system so it trades to the 200EMA rather than away from. My system is now significantly different from what I started with. I expect thats why your seeing different results.

I'll post more details later

It would be good if you explained it. I know you did it for H4 and thanks for your time and patience.

Hi jimbo..welcome to the thread mate.i havent traded h1 TF with this system.but it was not that successful on the 1HR TF mate.lot of fakes.dont knw why.but very effective on the 4HR.you may test it on 1HR and post your results.your effort will be much appreciated.thanks

hello Telecaster..your results are amazing..much appreciated.but newbies will get confused with the system if they start trading towards the 200 ema.and it is not advisable....the last thing i want to do is to lose their hard earned money.hope you understand what i mean mate.

this strategy is not ROBO based.and ROBOS dont bring in profit in the long run.Nothing can beat human brain..coz trading is done my live human mind.not the machine.it is very easy to predict what the machine might do in the next second coz it is programmed by a human mind.but the most unpredictable thing is the HUMAN MIND.

so i will have this thread ROBO free and EA free.....


to all the folks...train your mind.. dont trust EA or ROBOS.put the same trust in YOU rather than an EA and you are settled for life..

The moving average is the dynamic support and resistance.what is this supposed to mean?

on every frame.the 50ema and 200 ema is well respected.if you see when the price approaches say 200ema...just back and check for the PPA (Previous Price Action). the price would have bounced off that level in the past..

PPA is nothing but the SUPPLY and DEMAND....when the DEMAND exceeds supply the value of a commodity will go UP and when the SUPPLY exceeds DEMAND the value of a commodity will go DOWN

so if you trade towards the EMA. you will be buying when traders are going to sell or exit ....and you will be selling when the traders are wanting to buy...
always trade away from EMAs....

and sometimes it will breakthrough when the demand or supply exceeds eachother...but we just cant risk our hard earned money i know how much i have suffered in this business doing all sorts of dumb thing in the past.

so be very carefull.......its money guys...and you know what money means..its not just paper.its your family...your dignity in the society..your respect...your love for everyone...

Hi Shawn..,

The easy workaround is to open an MT4 demo account, search for one that resembles your thinkorswim chart in terms of candles (hope you understand the point here) and then use mt4 signals to trade on think or swim.., Hope this helps.

Im going to test the ADX and see how it works. My understanding is that you short when the price is below both the 200 and 10 ema and go long when the price is above the 200 and 10 ema?

I like the idea of getting a demo meta4 account but ill try this for now

I don't think ADX is a proper substitute. But if you find it suitable to your needs by all means use it. Or like already suggested by other members open a demo MT4 account for your chart analysis and place trades on your platform.

Anyway below is a comment by Eelfranz from the TMS thread to those who don't have access to TDI.

TDI is amazing.

There was a strong down trend during Asian session, but TDI showed divergence.

When price broke S1 and above MA, I went lomg for 20. It also broke downward trendline above.

This is also advanced trade towards EMA and not recomended for newbies.

Just to show power of TDI.
