DislikedDongsky,
Good to see you in action. Glad your son is okay.
It is good for traders to see that they can still profit even if they are on the wrong side of price action. Important to know how to rescue and how to attack. No good jumping out of the plane without a parachute...
I see you have a serious warrior/fighter mindset and attitude. Part of your winning arsenal.
Have to be off now. Have a great trading day...the rest of it .

DislikedJust wanted to applaud you on this thread. Its a great example of why forums can be very educational and also a shared journey or experience.
Seeing the evolution of a traders experience from the start of that journey makes great reading for someone continuously learning the game and, in turn, themselves. Thanks againIgnored
Dislikedrescue doesn't mean to profit... purpose of this exercise is to bring back troops home alive... even wounded is okay but not dead!
overstaying on a rescue mode ... is nothing but a killer...
when going to rescue... zoom out and eyeball all possible levels of exit... should your plan succeed or not...
greed and fear is a big NO to this activity...

Got it! Clearer now . On a rescue, do you remove the scout as well then re-enter, or do you leave it in if you think your direction is still right, but maybe the timing was off?
On what basis or at what point would you make the decision to flip?

Dislikedif you do rescue, you have assumed that you're ridding the wrong bus...
if so, get average, know all your levels of exit and do the rescue...
RESCUE MUST BE DONE QUICKLY, SWIFTLY AND SMOOTHLY!!!
.. yes need to square... re-assess and re-position if need be... (i normally at this stage pause... and clear mind)
objective is to bring troops home alive... normally, rescue is done swiftly on a correction phase of a trend, where you see all possible level of resistance ... and the guide for your exit zone - remember you are wrong at this stage...Ignored
