Today's loss on wrong Short set up @ 1.3134: -11

Closed my S @ 1.322: +30
Closed my Long @ 3145: +24

Short 1.3145. SL 1.317 (ie 5 pips above 1.3165).
reason: move up is news driven but no continuation (stalling, pinbar on M30 not conducive to up, gold falling atm and USDX starting to recover).

allthough if i look at that chart you posted earlier i couldn't trade off it, but i am sure you say the same about my charts . Only results counts, doesn't matter how. I didn't trade after my long so i am negative for today.

No pb regarding my chart.

I used M30 for clarity. I mainly (try to) trade on smaller TFs keeping an eye on higher.

This thing is not moving, i think i'm going to call it a day


I read your chart without pb, only thing is that I would use divergences on H1 and higher TFs.

I have a possible H&S pattern on M5 but needs to break 1.3139 for confirmation.
If that's the case, I'll move my SL to BE.

I know Kambooj will not like it but H4 seems to indicate further move up, possibly 1.325 before further down

I usually trade in the direction of the weekly and daily time frames, sometimes H4, but mostly I have found that if you trade in the direction of Weekly time frame, the chances of getting out bad trades is much much more, and its easier to turn them into good trades.

You might have to wait a bit longer at times to find the best strategy to get out of bad trades.

I use a 150-200 pip stoploss to do my trades, with the minimum lot size that I can afford and as market moves I have a better idea of how to manage my trades.

I have found this way for me to be far superior than any other method for myself, but I am still learning, and not an expert.

I always set a target of between 20-25 pips, but occasionally when orders go beyond that very quickly and are profitable, then I bring stoploss to entry and let it ride.

I check the market from 8 AM to 4 PM New York Time every hour and minute of it, and once quickly during the night at 3 AM when the European session opens.

Tentative Long: 1.3146
SL: 1.313

Reason behind my trade, bullish Hidden Div on H1, conducive patterns on higher TFs, rejection of 1.31 level (ie still within demand range) and we're back where we started today. This is counter trade and am still expecting further move down tomorrow (hence tight SL)

Mate I hope you are not serious...if i get it right...stop loss is 150-200 pip and target is 20-25??
