Why did EA "deinitialize?"

The EA is suppose to execute a market order after a certain price is reached after a certain time. It worked in tester mode but not in real mode. It gives this error message.

It says "deinitialized" at the end. Was the EA deactivated in someway?

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

What do the reason codes mean?

It is self-explanatory
REASON_REMOVE 1 Expert removed from chart.
REASON_RECOMPILE 2 Expert recompiled.
REASON_CHARTCHANGE 3 symbol or timeframe changed on the chart. REASON_CHARTCLOSE 4 Chart closed.
REASON_PARAMETERS 5 Inputs parameters was changed by user. REASON_ACCOUNT 6 Other account activated.

What is it that you don´t understand ?

Your EA deinitialized because you changed Input parameters

Why don't you manually trade?
If you know the time and the price where you want to enter whats the point in having an EA?

So reason 5 means i changed the parameters? That's what i don't understand. I input the parameters to execute a market order at a certain time if a certain price is reached. I didn't make any changes in between.

Cyber, because i want an EA which does all of that automatically.

In order to get help you need to tell the whole story.
An EA doesn´t deinitialize without a reason and since reason 5 was printed in the Journal it was reason 5.

When did you attach the EA to the chart ?
Why to a M1-chart ?
Did you press F7 after having it attached ?
Did you change the timeframe ?
What is the code of your EA ? Maybe there is the problem, but without posting it nobody can help you.

I just reattached the EA to the chart and it said "deinitialized" at the end again.

I'm using the M1 chart so i can test the EA in the quickest time frame.
I did not press F7 at anytime.
I did not change the timeframe.

Are you sure that's not at the start? i.e. deinit then init with new parameters.

You did press F7 or how did you add the parameters for the EA ?
Either you right-click on the chart, find Experts and right click and click on Properties ( which is the same as clicking F7)
and that is when the EA is deinitialized.

But then when you click on OK, it has to initialize again.

So what is your problem ?

Everything is working.
First I attached it with OpenTradeTime="2012.03.07 ......
Then I called the properties menu and modified the OpenTradeTime.
When pressing the OK, the EA deinitialize with uninit reason 5, then initializes again.

The only problem you have: you did not know that each time you call the properties,
the EA deinitializes.
Now you learned that it is normal, it must be that way, there is no problem.

Is there another problem ?

fxtr51, i right clicked, clicked expert advisors, then clicked properties. I didn't press F7 key. Well i guess i don't know too much about the "deinitialized" but the EA is not executing any trades when it was supposed to. That's my main problem.

You read the log from the bottom up. It deinit when you changed the parms, reason 5, then when you closed the parms it re-inits again.
No problem.

guys i wrote this ea for him like 2 weeks ago. you can see i typed my name under the original macd heading example he was basing the code from or whatever it was. while watching some tv i took two hours out of my time thinking i would just re-write it to help a random out of their silly little tech problem... big mistake. this guy is either the best troll ever, or is disabled. that was 2 weeks ago, and he still hasn't even figured out how to attach it to his chart properly or how to use mt4.

capitalism just delete my code please! in fact, delete mt4 (and maybe format your computer) and forget about trading. you just aren't up to the challenge. you really, truly, are not up to it.

this 2hr job was finished TWO WEEKS AGO and you are still wasting everyone's time with inane questions! this is beyond ridiculous. have you never thought about using google and doing some research on things? the metatrader and metaeditor help files are all you actually need to work all of this extremely basic stuff out. RTFM!!! can you not put 2 and 2 together and come to your own conclusions without everyone holding your hand each step of the way? in what universe does it take anyone 2+ weeks to work out how to attach an EA in mt4 and get it running? you need a different hobby.

My main problem is the EA doesn't execute any trades. I thought the "deninitalized" message meant their was something wrong but apparently something else is wrong. Yes, i do have the Expert Advisors button on green.

I just ran it in Strategy Tester.
It works perfectly. It opens a buy or sell according to the Price-level
and exactly at the time .

Run it on your platform and post the Journal and your settings.
You are doing something wrong.

I got rid of my other charts so the records would be clean.

Attach the modified EA and then try and post the Journal (Experts tab),
then we can see why it does not trigger.
The info about it has been displayed on the chart, now it will
be printed into the experts journal.

When i try to compile the EA from the editor the MT4 it gives this error message.

On my platform it compiles without errors.
