Here is what I am looking for at some point this morning. A buy off support or a sell from the high resistance.

Good morning! Yes I've just taken a long from 3121 but price action is quiet so I have entered with only 0.5% risk and will be keeping my finger on this one.

What I mean by quiet is it took a long time for price to trickle down to this level rather than a nice strong move down, so I am not as confident in this trade and have taken only a half size position and will be chopping promtly if the support line breaks.

I have chopped this trade for a small profit because price action is just too quiet. Out with +4. I will not be trading now until after the Non Farm news coming up in 15 minutes and then Building Permits are in 30 minutes. After that will look for more action.

Do you have a buy/sell bias for the chart or just trade support and resistance as you see it?

For instance I really fancy a sell trade today from around the 1.3150 level as the 5 min is in a down trending move but would take a good sell signal if earlier with the hope of getting more from a sell than a buy.

Basically trading in the direction of the 1 minute trend. So although I can see the buy opportunity might ignore it in favour of a sell entry.

This thread is a bit slow for chat are you on skype?

She's broken the level and the next one to look at is a bounce off the lower support line at 3100 for a potential buy.

i was able to get 4 pts in futures not sure if i can do in forex
note shorted 3127 after taking the 4 pts [eurfx 1pt = 12.50 vs forex 1 pip =10 on 100kcontract]

Right now mines 1.4 with Vantage tends to average around 1.5 most of the time when market active.

Be careful guys - news coming out in 5 minutes, then more at 8.30EST. No trades for me until after news hits and we see what happens.

Yea the M1 is for sure in a down trend these past 2 hours. 3100 is a really nice level for a potential short term bounce so if not for the upcoming news I'd be looking to buy there if price stalls but for now I must sit on my hands until we see what the news brings.

So you are basically looking for a buy signal, you have a buy bias today, at this moment? So looking for the next bounce to buy?

I'm more inclined to sell this asap and hope for a break of 1.3100 eventually though look to TP if big bounce on 1.3100

No, absolutely no scalping during big news releases for me. It's best to wait and see what happens and trade again after the wind dies down.

I have no bias. I just look at key levels. So if not for the news I'd be hoping for a move down to 3100 for a buy or a move up to 3163 for a sell. It depends on the strength of the move, the angle, and the obviousness of the price stalling at that level if it does get there.

Yesterday we were lucky to have a nice tight range to trade but today it's not the same so I am looking at the recent extremes. A return to those recent extremes and some stalling will get me in.
