hello friends,
Not all EA work in renko 'no time frame' offline charts.
some do, if EA don't work in renko charts then You could have a script
attached to the renko chart that writes signals to a file. the EA, attached
to anonline chart, would read those signals from the file and act accordingly
or any other way you choose.
i need an EA which full fill my requirements.


this renko system i trade.

my requirements:
EA for renko candles only (no signals from indicators)
Entry rules: full length bullish or bearish candle.
Exit rules: doji formed or the reverse candle occurs.
note: include lot size, TP, SL and trailing stop.

A renko-chart consists of bricks with same size.

Since there are no dojis on Renko-charts, all you need is an EA which

and the exit rule for the active trade is met.

What is the brick-size of your Renko-chart ?
A little search on this forum resulted in this:
1. There is an EA which does what you request already.
2. There seems to be an indicator which produces better Renko charts.

Both are attached.

Again about the dojis.
There are no dojis on renko-charts.

The current candle might look like a doji every few seconds, but that means nothing and even if an EA is coded to detect it, it is worthless because
it can change 100 times during the active candle and at candle close
it will be gone because on Renko-charts there are no dojis, just bricks of equal size.

An EA which would check the doji condition, would therefore open and close up to 100 trades per candle (reversing long to short and vice versa) and that would be utter nonsense.

BTW, I asked you a question.

Firstly, i posted my system in my last post because this has different offline charts or modified renko charts. mihalio who introduced the system last year. this system is packed with lots of indicators. í was only interested in price bars so i removed all the indicators except on the candles which is 'HA'.
in this system there are two charts M2 and M3. M2 charts which you were talking about has no doji (correct, i know that) but M3 chart which is also a renko offline chart but produces doji's. i have posted some screen shot of M2 and M3 chart for more clarity.

secondly, now i'll talk about EA. there are two good strategies can be applied to this chart.
1. the one i mentioned i.e.
Entry rules: full length bullish or bearish candle.
Exit rules: doji formed or the reverse candle occurs.
on the M3 chart i labeled one entry and exit position as a example.

2. the one you mentioned which is a preety simple and good strategy i.e.
If a renko-brick is green (green = Close is higher than Open = trend is up),
you want a LONG order and
if a renko-brick is red (red = Close is lower than Open = trend is down),
you want a SHORT order

and about the size of the bricks. screenshots might help you because i don't know how exactly i express in what terms the size of the brick.

Ok, the doji is drawn by the Heiken Ashi indicator on your M3 chart.
I have no idea how an EA could identify such a HA-doji, it has no eyes like we humans have.
Maybe somebody else knows how.

I have the renko-candle-Ea running on EURUSD and it made some profits
because the EU made a big move down, but as soon as price goes into
consolidation, the losses are piling up.

ok..apart from doji strategy...the other one you told

CriminalIsECN=true;

I can't get any EAs to work on the renko offline charts. They all initialise and then... nothing. Even Steve Hopwood's just sits there saying "waiting for the first tick".

All these EA's work fine on normal charts and the renko charts appear to be updating on every tick with no problems.

Any thoughts anyone?

You are using the wrong EA or script or indicator to create the offline chart.
If you find the right one, all EAs will work on the offline chart.

I must have tried that EA a million times, but spurred on by your insistence I tried one last time with "emulate on line chart" set to true and it works.

after testing steve's EA i found the EA which execute the trade perfectly when the candle changes its color.
the problem is while the candle is developing during that course it sometimes it changes color and EA execute the trade (this lead to losses). can such settings could be made in this EA that it made a decision upon 2nd candle or after the candle is close or fully developed.
can you help me out ??

The EA is not checking colors.
It is checking if the Open of the current candle is higher than the Open of the closed candle, then price is rising and direction of trade is LONG.
For Short vice versa.

I have added an input CheckCandle .
There you can choose which candle the EA should check.

For example: CheckCandle = 2
EA will compare the Open of the current candle with the Open of
the second closed candle before the current candle.

If Open(of current candle) is higher than Open(of second closed candle before the current candle), then direction of trend is UP.

in case if you find some time could you make EA for me. i found some posts which has the data i'm looking for but didn't know how to put it into a EA form. HA color based EA.
