Need simple stoploss and breakeven EA

Hello, i am making this new thread since the search function isn't working right for me and i cannot find exactly what i need. all i need i a simple EA that only does 2 things : 1) places stoploss at certain amount of pips immediately after the execution of the trade (broker stoploss, not a hidden one) and 2) it moves the SL at breakeven once the trade has gone 'X' ammount of pips in my favour. Again, i need it to set the sl through the broker itself, not ahidden one. I don't need it to trail and manage my sl after that point. Does any one have such thing? Could you please post it for me? Thanks !

If FF search is broken than you can always use google.
type "site:forexfactory.com trailing" (without quotes) in the google search field

Why through the broker? so that he can see your SL?

I don't have anything atm but doing a search came up with the following

thanks, that is absolutely right, but i find some complicated trailing stop eas with different setings, and all i just want is an ea that kicks in when trade goes X pips in my direction and places the stop at BE point, nothing more

Thanks billv , i will check them ! I don't want it to be hidden, because that way it is managed by the EA and if my internet connection brakes, the EA isn't looking after the trade no more and my trade has no-longer a stoploss and i can take a much bigger lost. Why need a hidden stoploss if you are really taking the right opportunities? The boker can't mess all of it, sometimes they hunt stops but they have their limits.

for this cases are the feature "hard-stop-loss" coded in several HIDDEN-SL-EA's

Hey cyber1, thank you for the EA! could you please just tell me about the settings, what should i define so it only modifies the stop to BE when the market goes X pips in my direction ? It has some other features and i don't see an option to turn them off. I don't want any trailing or whatever it offers, just move the stop to BE after some pips

Well, it's not a Trailing stop, and it's not a MUST. It's free and I think it's what it should be. I'm showing it and if it's helpful - OK. If it's not... another OK. All clear

feline207, the EA from cyber1 will do this (as far as I understand it...)

Step 1:
When profit is > BreakEevenAmount it will move SL to 10 (Stage1MoveBEStopPts) pips above the Open Price.

Step 2:
After 1000 bars it will make a move again. SL is set to 10 (Stage2MoveBEStopPts) pips above the Open Price.

Step 3:
After 5000 bars it will make a move again. SL is set to 50 (Stage3MoveBEStopPts) pips above the Open Price.

For SELL is the same, but above is below.

MagicNumber is not used in EA. Orders are not set, only manual orders. Need to add 0 for 5-digits broker. At first sight I'm not sure if there is a check if Step 1 was already made... ot it will try to modify constantly.

In your case if you want break-even
set
Stage1MoveStopAfterBars to 0 which will check on the first bar if it has exceeded the second input of 0 pips



set
Stage1MoveBEStopPts to 0 for B/E
(it does not take in consideration the spread) Which could be fixed if thats what you want.

the rest you can leave as they are.

To turn off the EA remove it from the chart.

Look again, it is 5 digit compatible.

And you are right on the MagicNumber is not used because for my own use I will use a script to place the order and I can set the MagicNumber. But in this case orders are as far as I know being placed manually.


And if you notice it checks Stage 3 first, then stage 2, then stage 1 otherwise it would not function as intended.
The reason the numbers are so large on 2 and 3 is in this case we are only implemneting a stage 1 stop. Its capability is a 3 stage stop.


Stage 1:0 pips starting 0 bars
Stage 2:50 pips starting 10 bars
Stage 3:100 pips starting 30 bars

Well, ok, I miss the number of zeroes at this row that says "6 digits", but what it really means is "5 digits":

Maybe it's not a bad idea to leave the MagicNumber filtering active inside the code and set it to 0 from externs. If someone wants to manipulate only manual orders while having some ea's running, this will be good.

Hi, one of my trade management EA (Complete Trade Manager) does an excellent job in this. It does much more but still within a simple and clear structure.

Check this out. I'm planning to share those within FF as well soon.

There are a few versions, v1 and v2 has visible stop loss and take profit. v3 has hidden stop loss. They all work with break even and fixed or dynamic trailing stop.

Each of those has instruction videos, check post 1 for location of those videos and files.

Hi Not sure if you are still looking for a SL/TP EA I use one very successfully for months now. you can insert multiple tP or just a single and set BE

Let me know it it does the job I might have some others floating around
