Germans overwhelmingly oppose Greek bailout: poll

Germans overwhelmingly oppose further aid for Greece, according to opinion poll released on Sunday, one day ahead of a vote in parliament on a new Greek bailout package where Chancellor Angela Merkel may be forced to rely on opposition support. The poll by the Emnid Institute in Bild am Sonntag newspaper found 62 percent oppose a new 130 billion ($175 billion) rescue package while 33 percent are in favor. A similar Emnid poll in September found 53 percent opposed and 43 percent in favor. Merkel's centre-right coalition faces a testing vote in parliament on Monday when at least a dozen deputies are expected vote ... (full story)

I don't know what it is with all of the people who still think short on euro. But so far there is a small gap up...1.3475. Has anyone been reading the news articles...Europe, China, Japan, the US...they aren't going to let the european debt crisis affect the rest of the world. So that means Risk On. UJ at 81.37 currently and EJ 109.62

update: EU dipped a little while UJ and EJ continue to rally1

See, that's the problem...so many traders are still waiting for this Magical Euro Short! Well, I hate to say it...but as long as all the retail traders are waiting for this "short" trade...the market will just continue up. Once everyone thinks up, then you have the chance for a short. It's market manipulation at it's best!

Just an observation. EJ just filled it's Gap(75pip selloff) and AU filled it's Gap plus some(50pip selloff). But what did eur/usd do? Only down 30pips. To me, that means euro is still strong! I could be wrong, but I just don't see any shorts in euro coming. Sorry for the bad news to all you people waiting for it to drop.
