Now this article makes it easier to understand about Stock's volume and volume trap.

I have never been successful trading short term Forex. I've also never met a fund manager who stared at a 15 min chart (If you have let me know). But that's just me.
cant help but think you may be right on this one. this large mark down on EU has failed to break .3200 convincingly (so far) with an increase in volume. looking to the left, we see this .3200 level as the old top with locked in shorts (record short positions as per the cme).

i'm going long at .3200, hoping for a retrace back up towards .3300 and a final push through all the way up towards .3500

couldn't reach .3300 today, look at the low volume today. seems like this market is getting close to rolling over.

Sonofsin, I agree with your outlook but I thought you are short-term traders, short-term here could be from hours to days? Since I see your 15m chart... How long do you hold are trades normally?

Btw, EU is still somewhat bearish today, no volume reaction suggest a bull move soon.

These don't seem entirely accurate. I recommend reading the actual book and taking your own notes -- don't try to take shortcuts.

zpr, these come direct from tradeguiders vsa club forum, Tom Williams himself posts there as does Gavin and Peter, nothing wrong with them.

Question for you people if you don't mind. Is there a particular reason why so many of you choose to trade with a bar chart when using VSA as opposed to candles?

Because that's what TradeGuider tells them to do... open does not matter to VSA. Me personally I use candles as I like to see how the entire bar as formed (which you can still do with MT4 bar chart as the open line prints). TG bar charts do not print the open line. A buddy of mine switched from TG to Sierra and his bar charts still only show the close line... Not sure it's an option to turn on and off?

Anyway VSA can be traded with either one... your choice and preference...

Many thanks for taking the time to answer. I have used bits and bats of VSA in my trading for a year or more now (upthrusts, shakeouts, ND/NS etc) but always with candles. I can't make full sense of a chart with bars, i've been using candles far too long.

Will it now go quite straight towards 1.3500 ??

I was surprised it move down from 1.3300 to 1.3000, it would be a bigger surprise if it just move up towards 1.3500 within a reasonable short time(1-2 weeks).
