Richard Seegers Forex Room Tradeguider SCAM!!

First of all, why do I want to post this thread in the first place?
Forexfactory is one of the largest market forum. So I expect google will list it on top of its search page, to tell the world how corrupt this old geezer is.

Now if you don't know who he is, he runs forex room in tradeguider site.
In early of his teaching, everything's seem good and bring quite a new fresh air to the overcrowded hectic indicators trading. He introduces some of unique idea.

As time pass, you'll likely to know his real attitude:
You can't criticize his method in his room, OR HE WILL BE VERY ANGRY! (sounds like my 10 years old daughter already). Then you'll be amazed by how smart he claims to be. You'll be guided along the chart of the previous day, showing the EXACT SWING PRICE, and tell you "now if we follow my analysis.. you could have been long there.. short there.. catch every market move.. hedge this.. build your bridge.. bla bla bla". Seems like scam already? Read on!

Now there'll be time when you trade live with him in his room, and market move in vertical direction out of his favor. Now you'll be very likely heard him say "We could actually have entered here" Seems like a newbie trader already? You'll find him overexcited over 10-20 pips, measuring it with crosshair in his MT4 platform, saying "cool bananas.. how about that guys??... do you happy??". You'll find him irritated about how that he thinks some guy from other trading room mimicking his method of trading (but never credit whose trading ideas he has used in his own room). Selfish isn't it?

In some time his head will be so big, that he tried to open another room with $450 fee/month, and will become $1000/month in three upcoming months. Now I see that room doesn't exist anymore. Guess herd is smarter than you think, eh old geezer?

What I want to say is, stay away from this wicked geezer. Another ungrateful scammer you'll find.

That's two TradeGuider / VSA rants in the past day.

I by no means advocate their business plan or the way they market themselves but your two outbursts make it seem like you have a personal vendetta against them.

Have you been seriously burned by a fluffed call based on VSA?

Something seems to be irking you, but maybe, just maybe, you need to look at yourself instead of pointing the finger at a company that you neither have to purchase products from or pay any attention to.

Hello. I've been a member here on FF for a long time, and I've always adhered to the rules of this forum, the main one of which is to treat other members with respect. Clearly, you have broken that rule. For reasons I can't fathom, you have chosen to make a personal attack on me, with your stated intention of besmirching my name and integrity as a trader and a teacher. I'll let the FF members who have read your post, make their own comments and come to their own conclusions after visiting my room and getting to know me as a trader/teacher.

sorry you have had a bad experience. I've attached a recent trade Richard called in the room. He called the trade 3 times. When He called the trade he said this would be a long term trade (days if not weeks) and you could take one of two approaches:
1) enter long with a 60 to 100 pip stop loss (yikes)
2) be ready to have to take the trade a couple of times with a 5 to 10 pip stop loss.

It took 3 stabs at the trade to get it to pay off. (trade date 1/13/2012)
Trade :
1) long at 1.5280 lost 5 to 10 pips (double bottom)
2) long at 127% fib projection lost 5 to 10 pips
3) long at the 127% projection on the 1 hour chart (not shown). Profitable

trade #3 has gone 610 pips.
There were several places that you could have hedged your position (as Richard teaches). Your long was never challenged and the short hedges either yielded a nice little profit or you were taken out for a small loss.

I would say that 30% win/loss ratio is not something to get excited about but you would have had to have mismanaged this trade badly not to pull out at least 140 pips.

I've been with Richard since July. I've seen him make some bad calls and have an off day or three. But I have also seen quite a few trades just like the one in the attached picture.

Probo I'm not saying your wrong to have the feelings you have all I'm saying is that there are others that have had success using what Richard teaches.

I wish you luck in your trading, it is a tough business.

Another successful trading day using Richard Seegars methodology. Up 35 pips which could and should have been twice that amount if I hadn't over-tightened my stops!!! Fortunately, he's gone through how to improve that in the class.

What I like about his teaching is that it takes classic FX tools (i.e. Fibonacci, Andrews Pitchfork, trading cycles and volume confirmations) and imaginatively combines them into an easily understood model. This allows each trader as independent as they want to be.

Richard makes it very clear to everyone in the room that price can easily go against you. However, when this happens, he works very hard to make sure that any losses are well covered in the next few trades.

Hope you are doing as well outside of his room as I am doing inside it.

Strange old rant, reminds me of the "why doesn't anyone answer my memos " threads one finds on dating site forums.

SCAM!!??...You seem to define it differently to most other people. I think of a scam as sending 50 quid to a Nigerian general.

Now with Richard you pays your money for 2 hours a day of his time, 5 days a week at about the same price as other trading rooms.

It is rare for him to do less than 3 hours and not unusual for him to do 4 hours a day He seems very committed to the room and is determined to turn us into bleedy good traders weather we like it or not!.

True he may sometimes come across as blunt and dominant, (no bad thing IMO) he likes to run a tight ship and is very focused with just occasional bits of banter. But then I'm not paying for a chat room and for my ego to be flattered I want to learn and become profitable fiscally and intellectually and I fell I get more than my money's worth. If one has a cherished idea about how markets operate and he thinks you are wrong he will say so and explain his reasoning. That maybe uncomfortable for some but I find it very useful.

As for his trading style some aspects do, at first , seem counter intuitive but it does become clear as one goes along. More fool anyone who trades a live account with a method they do not understand properly.

After reading your post, I came to several conclusions.

1. You clearly broke the rules of treating others with respect and dignity within this form. This lack of respect reflects badly on you. Have you confronted Richard face to face, or at least skyped him concerning your complaints. Have you allowed him to at least discuss his side of your dispute. Have you talked to Tradeguider.

2. Your post tells me that you must of have been overleveraged in your trading, and you are merely venting over your loses.

Personally, I don't believe that there is just one indicator which can give guaranteed success 100% of the time and this is certainly not what is taught in Richard's room. In fact, learning how to manage your losses is a key lesson he teaches - something I am slowing coming to terms with as time goes by. Humility is another key attribute he teaches - that the market can and does what it wants and traders have to plan for this fact. Anyway, good luck with setting up your own room somehow, I suspect it is not as easy as it looks.

I have been trading with their software for some time in the past and I can say with confidence that if you follow this methodology you are guaranteed to go broke soon or later. This is because volume is just like any other lagging indicator like stochastics. If you have been trading for some time you will know that, you cannot predict the markets not with any indicator including volume. You will have to follow the market where ever it takes you, which can be done only by understanding wave patterns and how the market moves between high tick and low tick, how it make retracements and pullbacks at support and resistance levels. One thing that can help you with this is by knowing 50% levels and by observing support and resistance. if you are an investor you may also follow Elliot waves. If you ask tradeguider including its inventor, they will not agree with this eventhough they know all about it. They have manipulated Wyckoff's volume in their manual, in such a way that they can sell the software. All that they are worried is to sell their software and other products and nothing else. I just feel for the novice traders who just falls for all these and loose their hard earned money.
