what i said in the first place i think has been misunderstood. check again with pepperstone. if the system is down. that means your mt4 platform is just dead. as far as i know the pepperstone support is using the same system as i do on my mt4. if mine is dead so is theres. this however is the case with all companies when the whole system crashes. but i may be wrong.

It makes sense, otherwise why there are some gaps? (=Pepperstone Server down = no more data = gap on Server AND your MT4).

Or they have another intern Server, with their own access which is never disconnected...

Do you guys have also connectivity issues with Pepperstone, which is strange since I'm from Australia? My ArmadaMarkets connection is perfect even though their servers are in London. It seems they've now upgraded their demo server also in London.

I haven't had any disconnects today...

Only one over the last 3 days from what I've noticed.

happened to coincide with US unemployment claims.

i'm not interested in trading the news but it makes a mess of the charts....

maybe if i contact pepper and get them to disable trade capability i can keep the feed running........

Pommegranate is armadmarkets an ecn broker? can you fund account in aussie dollars? did you say they are part run by pepperstone?
can i setup aslan as an intoducing broker and get rebates?
armadas commision is .02 per 100 000 and pepperstones is .07? sounds like armadas is much better?
any help appreciated Pommegranate.

pepperstone is 3.50 per 100000
armada is 2.00 per 100000
but pepperstone have rebates per trade so i guess both companies are the same unless armada have rebates too.

The Pepperstone Servers are not located in Australia. They are located in New York, in the Equinix Building.

The Integral Server is also located in the same Equinix Building, and they connect MT4 Server directly to Integral via Fiber Connection.
Forex is a losers game.

You're forgetting the average spread difference.

Since Armada feeds from LMAX, you'll see here it varies widely.. lately it seems to average between 0.6 and 0.8 pips on EUR/USD.

Where as Pepperstone settles between 0.4-0.6 with spikes lower every few ticks (but please watch a Razor demo feed to assess this for yourself. Not the chart listed quote but the quotes in the Market Watch panel.)

Execution quality is a huge as well.. for that I can't speak about Armada since I haven't traded with them.

Pepperstone has been decent aside from the odd disconnect.

Also, you'd have to be comfortable with Armada being regulated in Estonia under Estonian legislation. Not suggesting that's a bad thing per-se, but it's a consideration vs other regulators.

armada doesnt mention equinox on its site. it isnt an ecn broker its a stp broker.
i think pomegranite is a salesman for armada.

Rebates, bonuses and other such things mean that the br*ker is a market maker and they are interested that their clients lose money. Armada Markets does not have any rebates, they publicly say they are a preferred LMAX broker so I guess Armada is full STP and no funny business. I am not sure about Pipperstone. I hope they are too. Of course there are connectivity issues with Pipper.

Not always true when it's about rebates. As most broker to attract more customers whould offer agent/ Referer a chunk of the spread or comission like do DUKASCOPY ( they offer up to 50%!). So the rebate would be here for the referal agent a share of the comission he gets. This is a win/win as the agent will get more customers & the broker too. While the customers could get better pricing.

Most bonuses have some trading condition so the broker would ensure enough volume & earning to give back a small chunk to customers.

I said not ALL brokers, of course many brokers offering bonus & mostly the un-regulated one's could be shopbuckets trap.
