MTF Stochastics Log

I was always comfortable trading countertrend trades before but since I have introduced the mtf moving averages into the equation i have become somewhat intimidated by trading into the moving averages of the higher time frame even with the momentum of the stochastics all lining up like I want them to so I am going to be keeping forward entries of price bouncing off support resistance levels with stochastics lined up completely ignoring the moving averages altogether and seeing what the results are like...well really I am just seeing the results of everything lining up in general and keeping the screen shots here for organization purposes solely and a quick reference...

This whole process will be a lot easier when I get coded...the stochastic alerter with past alerts to further finalize my decision as to how to handle these types of trades if they are really worth the while in the end and win rate and such or if I just need to take them by decreasing risk and so on...

I like your idea of focus and simplicity but I looked at your charts and couldn't focus! I also like the idea of mtf stochs (or anything else). Have you tried just putting a 8,33 and a 21,3,3 on the same chart? I have noticed that when they both agree they can give you some good signals and it's a lot less clutter.

It seems like a bit much to take in when looking at the stochastic rope but when one understands fully how the mechanics of the rope works and become accustomed to using it...than it really isnt so bad...but those two stochsastics are a part of the rope seen in the screenshots of mine and so just using them in particular and eliminating the mtf stochastics as you have shown by your screen shot would not be beneficial to the approach as I have seen...but as far as simplifying the rope I can look into using maybe just the 8,3,3 the 14,3,3 and the 20,3,3 but there will still be the two seperate windows...thanks for your input and thoughts its always welcome here....

There seems to be a lot of information on there and the colours look garish at first glance. You were right, of course, that when you are actually using them and if the information they give you is useful then you would soon get used to it.
