Very surprised we didnt break 1.32... given the nos obtained.. may be because people are not ready to buy the Euro?

why not? We are hovering within or above demand... for as long as 1.308 is not broken...

This is the difference of 2011 and 2012 NFP. Actually after initial spike vs dollar, there is a sell off, risk off appetite of cross currencies that actually contributes to USD strength. Check UJ, it has been a NFP mover for a long time.

good nfp long cadjpy bad nfp short cadjpy was the call mate yeah UJ am not that much in that pair but best is to trade cross currencies on NFP rather then EURUSD to avoid spike...... especially in case of me.....

I agree,
There should be a pullback now to 1.312 - 1.314.
Woudl be a good place to short from there

I dont trade cadjpy but thanx for the info. We are having a pattern change. USD is actually gaining strength with good NFP as contrary to EU gaining strength last 2 years.

Initial spike is 80 % of main trend direction ( intraweek) then it may give a CONTINUATION ( in that case u enter on retracement) or REVERSAL (entry on Pattern break or level retest break). I did that with M 1 2 3 sell off pattern.

I see where you are coming from.
Today was the last shot to break 1.32. On the longer term (next weeks), what I see now is probably a move down to 1.30 possibly 1.29 - 1.285. (extreme) before an agreement is made with Greece. Ideally I would buy around 1.30 targetting higher levels.

looking at the M15 candle, I see we are moving up, with good selling opportunity at1.3115 and 1.315 area.

1.308 no broken but the mood is bearish.
I am long 1.308 but looking for a place to short (more bearish now)
If i see a double bottom at 1.308, I will revert to bullish
For the moment we are still ranging 1.3080 - 1.32 zone
