I really don't care what clients my broker gets, so long as I still get great executions/spreads and other services. Thankfully I don't own shares!

It seems that you have no idea what FxOpen is, do you??

FxOpen is one of the biggest cheaters out there. Besides, they are market maker, and do you know what that means !!!

They can control your trades whatsoever you. There is no way a pro trader would open a real account with them, never.

You can check the review about this Sh*tty broker and then state your opinion again; rethink a little.

Hi scarface9, I registered here due to your post because I have own point of view and bit mad from similar posts like yours.
Dude, did you ever visited fxopen's website or forum?Do you know that they provide 2 different accounts market maker (and they do not deny that profit comes from the loose partly) and ecn (linked to Dukascopy). I prefer MT4 as my trading platform so I opened one of my accounts with fxopen.I can say only from my experience which is almost a year now that it is damn good. It is fast , damn fast.And yet till now no any withdrawal problems. The only weak point of them is a regulation which is offshore.But I think anyone is free to choose.
So back to your post how did you state your opinion about them? which broker you can propose me to trade (scalping) with, maybe gain (lol)? Currently I use (Dukas, fxopen, alpari).

How you measure them, great executions!! Spreads!! and Other Services!!!, you have multiple accounts with multiple brokers at same time and your primary business is to compare who offers best ?? Yes if you are only confident enough you can try to acquire shares, else it just waste of time in assuming they are best, as you know the truth you self

hi cocoflanel, I have accounts in Dukas and fxopen all you need to do is to open both accounts at the same time, you will find that the feed is equal as well as orders books are twins.

The feed is probably the same BUT does your order gets executed against the dukascopy liquidity or does it stay with fxopen ?

For scalpers with accounts under $20,000 I think Oanda is the best bet. I have traded via Currenex etc and while spreads may be fractionally lower and fills slightly quicker, the commissions make it more costly overall than the 0.9 you pay at Oanda. There really is not much difference in it, so go with what feels best for you in terms of platform.

EUR/USD hasn't been at 0.9 in ages it feels like...

I miss that spread, ever since they've averaged 1.2 pips during the London/NYC overlap session I've been looking around (and settling with) other brokers who offer a better deal.

Hasn't Oanda a very low leverage? I heard just 10:1?

They are a market makers, yes, so they execute and confirm a price with you before having to process it with a liquidity provider. It makes execution a bit faster I find vs some STP model brokers.

Leverage will depend on where you live... 50:1 in the US, ~50:1 in Canada... check your local Oanda's division (Oanda EU, Oanda US, Oanda Canada, Oanda Asia Pacific...etc..) for exact leverage rates.

After reading the last post I thought I would clarify something. A market maker broker may be faster than DMA as they will pass on the risk at their leisure, this is exposure they don't want on their book. the trade is not confirmed by the bank on the bid or offer (the cause of the delay for DMA), it will be executed at the first available quote in the case of an STP broker or executed by the automatic or manual dealer in the case of a true market maker.

There are few true DMA brokers out there, it makes little sense to pass on the risk if most traders will give it back.. Eventually.

Ive been doing research into australian brokers who claim to be DMA, I'm sure the exact same thing applies to offshore MT4 brokers. I find most will use the virtual dealer plugin. Several of the brokers I tried had slow and inconsistent execution, the bid offer prices on the chart differed to the prices on the deal ticket, trades would time out then be confirmed over ten seconds later, the list goes on.

It's at the point where I am happy with DMA execution sub 1 second. Brokers using integral will be able to offer the tightest spreads if they have the right banks. Eurusd should average 0.3 during Europe and north America, add your relevant commission rate and you should be trading at less than 1.3 pips including ommission during these hours. If you're doing decent volume you can be trading at 0.7 pips inc costs during these times. For scalpers this provides so many opportunities that a market maker could never facilitate.

I would encourage you all to look for a broker offering acces to integral with low commissions and spreads averaging less than 0.3 during Europe and north America. There is 4 in Australia offering this at present. If you test out the execution you will quickly see who is DMA and who is taking on risk.

Personally, prefer Trader's Way, been with them a while now and have no complaints and yea, extremely low spreads.
