I look at closing prices more so than range highs and lows and right now the closing price to beat is 1748.35 from 11/30/11 which hasn't happened yet. Probably will on Thursday but until it does I'll be watching and waiting for trend confirmation.

i am finally looking at the same points as you. for me, must clear dec 4th close of 1753.10 and then nov 13th close of 1794.90. R1 pivot point on my system (Daily chart) is at 1798ish so for me it needs to clear 1800. From there it may be clear sailing to 2000 since everyone seems to have that # in their head.

Dec 4th was a Sunday?? My charts consider Sunday pm as part of Monday's complete daily bar. So this is not important as far as I am concerned. Same with Nov 13th again a Sunday.

I would reconsider the value of these dates.

Hi everyone, just gone short at 1,747.60. Price found resistance again at R1. Target around 1737.00 Will see how this goes. Looking for price to break ascending trend line.

Two days at 1750 area, heading back to feb. monthly pivot 1687 or breaking projected weekly highs 1755-59 and heading to feb. highs?
Make up my mind for me will ya.

I think that being too optimistic is what the market wants us to be.

I know very little about this thing, and I share the view of a 2000$ target, but I think a correction is about to begin.

I know price is respecting the ascending channel, but lately is not visiting either side of it and appears to be printing a rising wedge whitin the channel. (pretty clear in fuse's post #16153)

Isn't that a bearish pattern? Price may drop to 1720.

i am out of my longs. ichimoku lines are coming closer and closer even though not crossing yet. waiting for a correction.

well see.. 4hr rsi is almost oversold and the daily hasnt eeven budged.

I'd like to see price moving in coordination with rsi and clearly its having a hard time moving south. position trading of course I have enough room to breath til next week.

Loaded on shorts with highest short at 1749.9 making Av sell entry of 1747. Will be adding more at 1765 (Upper BB)

reason is the one-wayness of the move up without a breather since 1522 and movement of the stos.

Not aiming for a reversal, just a breather.

1716.1 (DL of 30JAN) is the swing low.
