That is their choice. More than 1 post showing the method flaws isn't needed. Most of you look just as bad as the inebriated guy on the videos. A tool is a tool, regardless of who is right.

Why dont you all buy some lottery tickets. You have a better chance of winning the lottery then making money with Brijon's madhouse methods.

This is pure madness.

Hello all

My thanks to MPP and others who tried to answer my previous questions.

I have looked quite carefully at the behaviour of the Pitbull basket and I believe there are some nice opportunities here, if handled properly.

For those who want to know the technical details of how baskets actually work, please take a read thru my previous thread:

http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=265350

I have run the Pitbull basket thru my arbitrage engine and the Daily and Hourly charts are attached below.

The results are not too bad....

Since these threads always turn to garbage I have an idea for us late party crasher.

Someone make up clear and precise rules to this basket trading (a vet of the system and someone who knows English) and do a pdf because wading through all the BS is distracting and I can't understand how your really dealing with DD and loss. Are you just dumping the loss pair and adding to the winners to cover?
Think about that word or pdf file with all the indys and scripts listed.
I can't even understand the videos.. pretty lame teacher.

thx just my .02 cents...

My first (and possibly last) post here. I generally use FF for news and a bit of light hearted reading when things are slow, but a few posters have wound me up enough to post this.

First off, I find this trading method an interesting approach. It's really just another hedging strategy and I'm not sure if it's for me, but I've been interested by some of the preliminary results. I've watched a few of Brijon's video's but find him hard to listen to. He has what seems to be a reasonable business approach and idea, but the presentations are not the...

Thanks for the interesting post and perspective.

Re the randomness, I do see how this looks random, yet when I trade the basket I don’t feel it is random. I trade the strong pair mostly and the second pair. If a pair enters DD I do my best to control it.

Re your thoughts on business. It’s not quite accurate to say;

A good business would not buy bad stock, or goods which it couldn't sell, or knew nothing about. good business only by good stock

I work with multiple businesses and the reality is often the reverse.
Buyers in companies do buy products they can’t then sell. It’s the risk they take.
They may well have years of experience, study the trends in the market place, use their standard indicators, use their experience and knowledge and even confer with a colleague and still get it wrong and the products sit on the shelf. Duff.

The products are sometimes returned to the manufactures (if an agreement is in place) or if not sold at a reduced margin and set aside for “the sale.” Sometimes these products are even sold at a loss to simply get rid of it and turn it back into cash so the business cycle can continue. There are always “duff sellers (loosing trades) in business”

The game is won when they get enough good, fast selling, or even average, consistent selling products they can turnover with decent margin and build their profits and control (to the very best of their abiltiy) the hit (DD) on the “write downs” and their business costs.

Some traders have said regarding this method “why take trades and close with such tiny profit... £30 -£50 perhaps. Yet in business you have a variety of margin products. Some will sell less quantity with a high margin, some will sell very fast at low margin and yet these small margin yet high turnover products can make huge profits when accumulated.
Of course the best is the fast selling high margin product... but these are not easy to find!

There are rare exceptions of course... Apple comes to mind! Having said that, they almost went broke at one point in their history.

So the reality is, even the best businesses sometimes buy bad stock which they cannot sell. It’s difficult to buy only good stock, even applying all the experience I mentioned (like trading experience and indicators).

You do have a point about buying stock they know nothing about I agree. Yet, I have seen businesses take risks with a completely new product range in an effort to diversify and make more profitable sales. They way it up, decide their perimeters’ and trial it (demo)...

Anyway when all said and done... its only trading, yet some posters seem to think it all takes place on some higher field which is of course complete BS.... LOL

Thanks for your interseting post.

We now have the full comedy set

Nubcake, lillese, bilbss, and a little late, bluesteele

We are honoured..........

All now on the ignore list, although just for the humour perhaps I might keep them on, I mean to say, they bring so much to trading!!

Well done to all those who have persevered through the last few posts, unfortunately these dudes wound up brian and destroyed his threads, chips has made an excellent attempt to reopen the Pitbull method.

These comedians have taken the bait hook line etc, there have been enough traders on here now who have realised that they are here to disrupt the thread, they have no other goal.

They have asked some questions about Pitbull, the method used has been answered in full, statements have been posted on here, traders have explained exactly how they are trading and yet they still continue to disrupt, incredible.

Traders reading through the posts can make up their own mind as to whether they want to try the method, they certainly dont need the comedy act to help make them make the decision.

For anyone finding this thread please read from the first post, it isn't easy to get a grip of but persevere, you will learn an enormous amount about how the pairs react with each other, the Pitbull method is a base, it can be traded in a multitude of ways, practise and it will become easier and you will find your own method that you will be comfortable with.

Good luck to all.

M

Hi, this is a question for those who trade with this method.

I have been following this thread, and I would like to ask you that you have things changed for the better, that might be: taking benefits of each position as well as control of DD, and if you you support some type of indicator or just use this method without indicators .

How you use this method.?

What value do you give to this method.?

Thanks

Even though I said DEMO the system first and then comment most ppl refuse.

I've showed how to use TRRIPLE SWAP Runup to control the DD...ppl said they need clear instructions

I have shown how to use hedge to freeze loss..and then let the circle control the DD

I have shown the taking the profit is easy...to increase the bal

I have shown...that stop trading will control DD

I have shown that mistakes in this system...cannot affect the basket if you control you greed and trade to lot size..relative the account size..

Trading as a busines gives you away to make a living..day to day...on weekly..you can collect you paycheck on a weekly..bi-weekly basis.

thanks the point...

the sceptics say...oh...it gonna blow...Well nothing in forex in 100% this is not the holy grail...no business is...that life...

ppl try to bash the presenters...and the creators..and they themselves..have never created anything...

I has been three weeks..since Iam running the account an I have turn -DD to profit...

PPL are still looking for the 123 system..yet there is no wrong or right way to trade.

Chips:

Thanks for you time on this post. While I don't understand all of it, you are a much better writer than Brijon and you don't seem to be trying to start a 3rd party trading group.

Question:

If USD/JPY goes on a long rally, how does the basket still cycle from profit to loss to profit to loss?

I've stuck the basket on forex tester and watched the DD fluctuate many times at different time periods; but, all the basket really is is a directional trade on USD/JPY.

Question:

Can you give us a trade by trade for one of your sessions? Preferably from time of putting the basket on to the time of basket off?

I understand closing +ve and -ve trades that net a profit and reduce exposure. I understand taking scalp trades on the most moving pairs.

What I don't understand how you wind down the hedge. And I don't understand your "just stop trading and the DD will reduce." Could you show some specific examples please?

Thanks a bunch,
LHX

about the USDJPY situation.

whenever you go to sleep or away make sure you hedge all your trades.

to be honest i never completely understood Bryon his system. i do understand 95% what chips tries to explain. i understand the positive swap method. i understand how he scalps.

that said when the USDJPY situation comes. you will go into big DD, however most of the times this will happen it will be explained in a news item. so make sure if there is big USD news or JPY news coming up. just hedge your open trades to be sure and wait till 30 minutes after until you continue again.

however the most important part i learned from bryon is the profit loss cycle. this happens really all the time. this is not a fluke it happens.

just how he does it, i never understood. but it gave me ideas for my own method.

i run now something like chips, bryon, however i use oil and gold as my achors.

i started last week at monday with a 50.000 dollar account. my balance of closed trades is now 74108.22 and my DD is now -3347.68. so if closed all now it is 70760.54 minus some negative swap and 2x15 dollars commision. that said making over 20000 in 2 weeks aint a bad thing.

also i am far from being a master in this. but it does shows that the basics of what chips or bryon tries to explain really works.

the only main difference in how i do it. is using oil and gold as anchors and i trade using support and resistance to set in my trades based on heavy spikes.

also for everyone try it out. dont think to much on how this or that can happen. just do it. really try it. not just once a day or twice. but take your time for it to do. sit infront of that computer for 8 hours and try it and try it.

then if you have some bad trades and create a tunnel. think about how you can solve that problem. but for me best works is when i see stuff visual on the screen.

last week i made 2 bad open trades on GBPCHF. i had a tunnel of 60 pips difference. however through some keen work i managed to get myself out of that hole and made out of that bad situation 2 nice winners.

in other words practice practice practice!!!

DD control is rule.

Trade4fun:

I have been demoing it. Extensively. If USD/JPY goes up, the basket doesn't cycle PLPLPL, it just keeps going into loss.

That's what I mean about the USD/JPY. And it's not just news events...
