...this is an individual thread, your thread...you don't post the ea , you don't accept variation of the methid...why are you discussing it here then ?

I also do not understand the purpose of this thread if it continues like this. If only thread owner has the necessary tools and variations are not allowed then what could people discuss here?

I agree with Caillon, trading forex is boring. Been doing it a long time. If I didn’t use some of my time to be creative, and attempt to come up with something that could be automatize and sort of “get a life”, I would be in a mad house by now.

Creating strategies and system is time consuming and boring, creating or buying tools to test them is time consuming, expensive and boring, testing them is time consuming and boring.

I took me time to come up with the concept, time to created the a strategy with a very good logic, Tested it for 30 days. Got excellent results. … why not start from here? Why try to re-test the same thing?

I never asked anyone to try to improve it manually. I know the system well, I created it, but even for me would take years to fine tune in forward mode.

I DO NOT have an EA that trades the system...rather I have an EA that I use as a tool and force to trade the system.

I believe in this forum will be easy to find someone that can code an mql EA with the basics to trade this strategy. Mine has too many other things and would take pages and pages for me to explain how to set the parameters to force to execute as desire and I am not about to write a pdf with instruction and then provide tech support for it.

Here is the thing,... if somebody code a basic one. You will be able to re-test same set I did, or any other variation you may like. In a couple of months you would be in same spot "I was" and "I am" same as in in Post #2

Does any of this makes sense to anyone?

I still don't get the part "selling EURCHF every 7 pips up",

Ones other pairs in the ring (USDCHF or EURUSD) made 15 pips and TP

we are closing whole ring or what? If you keep selling (adding) lots

to EURCHF, then lot size will rise like a snow ball, for example, if pair moves up

70 pips and if you adding 1 lot every 7 pips then you will need to deal

with 7 lots then? And so on.. Or whole ring is closing ones 1 pair reach TP? What

is the real flow here? Thanks.

Sorry Jeuro but you didn´t understand me, forex is not boring, trading manually your system (new trade each new up bar) is boring.......

got it..... for me trading forex is boring, but provides a good income. so..Got to do what I got to do.

I know what you mean... I got around to grasp the mechanics by opening a renko chart and makes manual trades for weeks.

I am sure, if nothing else, by doing what you did for a while, opened you mind about the concept and the infinite potential about hedging 3 or more pairs this way.

In forex the "value" is in the strategy, not in the code that execute it.

This is a selfish thread. FF members are supposed to spend our time helping to improve a system that only one member has all of the neccessary tools to trade. Count me out.

Trading this Manually it's not boring it's impossible.

Setting trades every 7 -20 pips and then setting all those TP/SL

24/7 (who's going to close the ring when it's in profit, while you sleep?),

don't think it's real to make clean entries, according to the

rules and regulations .. Idea is good though..

The flow is easy to see then to explain. Set your 3 renko charts use 11/11/5 to get more actions and execute manual trades according to previous given settings. You will see.


If E/C moves 70 pips up.. the question to ask is: Where are the other 2 pairs?

We know E/U* U/S= E/C ..and looking at current prices I have 1.27114, 0.95336 and 1.21193
so .. 1.27114 *0.95336= 1.211854 (so..it is in the 1 pip ball park all the time).

IF E/C moves 70 pips up to 1.21893…. we need to find the values of E/U*U/S= 1.21893.
There are thousands of price combinations that could have product of 1.21893.

But for example.. I would never be possible to have that if E/U and U/C both move 20 pips down to
1.26914*0.95136 … because that would be = 1.207409 (meaning E/C would have dropped 45 pips)

In other words.. it is not possible to obtain a product of 1.21893 if at least one pair
goes up.

Jeuro, I created my own EA to trade your strategy, and it was going great until 11:20 - 11:50 GMT today (11th Jan). Which broker do you use, and what effect did the spread widening around this time have? It wiped out the profits of the last two days (and more) for me.

Today I looked at JForex (which has Renko built into the latest API) but it blew my mind, I'm currently going down the path of using the downloaded Dukas tick data in Multicharts. The Multicharts programming language seems to make a lot more sense to me.

Basically we keep tracking total Dollar $ profit/loss for whole Ring,

ones it reach let's say $100 close all trades, rinse and repeat,

is that the Idea, right? Kindda confused with TP's then on other 2 pair..

When you TP, hedge is gone, and you potentially wait another 20 pips (or whatever your formula is) till hedge go back

on (trade triggered)

Sorry again, I failed to be more explicit at the beginning that the only way to (rationally) improve the system is via back-test. If no FF member is helping on that (except 1 member) it is my mistake ….. Forum newbie mistake.

Jeuro,

Keep explaining your system if possible with trades examples or with your open trades screen shots. EAs or Indis are not problem for me but only thing is to understand the system properly.

You are right testing a three pair system on MQL4 is really a headache.

Here at FF we spend our time helping each other improve various systems for the mutual benefit of the entire community. It seems that you are happy to profit from this community camaraderie, but reluctant to share any advantage you have to offer with others. I used Pepperstone for last month and started a new demo on the 6th also in Pepperstone. My account was up some $200 in profit but now back to 94 profit. I did notice a "no connection" during the last drop of the EU.. not sure if that cause a failure of the orders or the spreads. Will ck later.

We did look at JForex and the built in renko.. yeap..blew our minds, even my partner's that is way much savvy then me. He immediately mention to look for another option.

We have look into multi-charts.

We did also look into Strategy Tester 2, uses C++. ( it is testing only ap it is not a trading platform .. so I am not sure if to spend time on that). The only advantage is that look and feels like mt4.

Same here, the spike completely destroyed the strategy :-/

E/C uses a TP=7 and No SL .
You quote me from a post that other member re-posted in post #9 from a previous thread.
I posted the exact setting used in my forward test in post #12.

Because all 3 pairs are closing positions all the time wins and loses, I monitor the Equity not the P&L .. then when the equity grows X is rinse and repeat. I think that I did rectified that also in a post. I starting to realize I am a crappy teacher.

They say a picture is worth a 1000 words.
Here is a screen shot how the system should look like and some explanations. I do not use any indicators.

Green arrows are triggered trades. Notice all trades in all 3 pairs are with
up bars (green)

No trades with down bars (red bars)

E/U and U/C are 11 pips renko Chart, E/C is 5 pips renko chart (in spite that E/C bars appears to be longer)

Red lines in E/U chart are the 15 tp and 15 sl. And in the E/C chart the 7 pips tp

In the top left of the E/C chart you see I keep track of the "Equity". Not the Profit of open trades.

Because Renko do not use time to close, you can not relate all 3 charts bar by bar. Meaning (example only) it is possible that the U/C triggered all those 5 green arrows in an X "time span" while E/U maybe went only 1 bar in the same X "time span"

you don't need a renko chart, i believe this system is very powerful, great idea.....

If all buys and sells are on an up Renko bars, then
the grid pending order for EURCHF should be:

open sell eurchf 1.2120
pending sell 1.2127 ( +7 pips renko)
pending sell 1.2134 ( +7 pips renko)
pending sell 1.2141 etc.

Am I missing something?
