If it's already been proven useless then nevermind. Period and frequency of updating isn't that important. Just thought it would be helpful to picture the loss-win-loss cycle that the basket goes through. When I wake up in the morning, there's no easy way for me to check how the basket did overnight or when I'm out. (You'd have to check each pair individually)

don't think it was useless, would suit your purpose - just didn't have any benifits in trading. I think you can get screen capture software and catch an image once an hour also which might service your needs too.

I never kept a copy of the tracking doc - you could search T101's threads for it or ask around in there.

but i don't believe this system is a set and forget method - more for an active trader

Hello all,

In order to trade it more seriously in demo, I would need the reliable/robust MT4 scripts to :

1) OPEN automatically and in ONE click the Brijon's basket
2) CLOSE automatically and in ONE click ALL the basket
3) CLOSE automatically and in ONE click ALL the basket if the profit or loss is equal to x% of my total balance.

It would be so kind to share.............................

I also thought I saw a currency strength meter in mql4 format rather than ex4. Does anyone know where that is? I would like to play around with it because it disappears once I put the asamir indicator on.

iam trying Alpari uk but their Swap rates are not good

AUDUSD: B 8.3$ S -14$
AUDJPY: B 6.9$ S -11.2$

Here is a lesson in fear and greed that hopefully you may take something from. An honest admission to being human!

 Today I started trading with the following.

 Equity $6947
 Net Profit to date (just over a week) $1781.

 Now here’s what happened.
My basket remained open from yesterday at -$290.
As the day progressed it dipped further to $500DD and I bought more sales to counter. BUT I increased the lot size to do it quicker. HA how clever was I.
 It worked and the basket went into good profit overall at $697 justifying my feeling of being a superman trader (or so I thought).
 I thought, OK enough profit for today this is not get rich quick ... calm down and close out and bank the $600+

 BUT something inside me resisted and said.. I’ll close at $800 as I think it has momentum to get their (in other words GREED).

 Anyway to cut a long story short... the whole basket quickly went negative to the tune on $1000, fear took over.
 If I bailed out my accumulated profit would have all but disappeared.
 Anyway I took a deep breath and stopped trading and decided to cut the lot size down on the larger DD pairs. Then wait
 It was not good and the movement in the basket went rather crazy from -$1000 to - $100 back to -$800 etc.
 Anyway I continued to mange down the larger lot sizes and the basket slowly came to neutral but my net profit banked had dropped from $1781 to $1499.
 I decided to sit it out as the momentum was swinging back into profit. I had to control my fear now of it going back into larger DD.

 The end result was that the account came good and moved into a nice profit. So at that point I closed everything as I realised I had had a close shave and needed to slowdown and step back.
 I could have left the basket open and continued to make sales but my mind had slipped into fear and greed then hope...

I ended the day as follows.

 Equity now $7426
 Net profit to date $2259. 7 days.

 So you could say a good result, and ok it is BUT it was a close call and I am pleased to have had this lesson (many lessons).

 Avoid overtrading
Trade the bottom two pairs
 If you find yourself in the can... slow down and think or STOP.
 Be careful of the greed monster always lurking in the recess.
Be very careful going from 01 to 10 to .50 and above in lot size.

Anyway I consider myself lucky to have turned this around and will be more circumspect in future.... nothing is EASY and controlling DD is only part of it. Controlling your mind is the other.

been followin this thread.
thanks to chips for starting this, i got to know basket currency trading.
i am now studying it and see how it will work with my trading.

just want to add on courtney's thoughts, thanks for sharing btw.
i believe this is what all traders need to be aware of..overtrading and greed.
i know its easier said than done but we always need to remind ourselves about it.

this is how i understand what chip, and others who are supporting this style of trading, is saying.
load all the suggested pairs of buy and sells, let it run and market will sort the buys and sells for us.
market will tell us which pair is hot and not.

2 hot pairs, bank, ride or add into it.
before adding, check how far it will go, this is where our personal trading style will be of use.
j16 style, is this hot item nearing an s/r level? then we have idea where to set our tp levels.

the not so hot pairs, dont do anything, meaning dont add into it, wait for market to cycle back.
if you really place .01 lot on it, a 2000 pip move is just $20.
courtney has a $200 threshold, this means he can go 10 pairs going down 2000 pips below.. but we have only 10 pairs to play with.. will they go one direction at the same time? even if they do, remember you have a $200 threshold, then let go and move on..market will be here until earth is here.

bottomline, when adding to hot pairs, be careful and get an idea where its going to turn.

i really find this interesting and will continue to study.

anybody tried t101's universal pairings instead?

As long as you know why you place those trades and reactions get from the results.

I have screen shots now where I tried ..some scalps in the range and they didnt work out.

but I know for sure Today is TRipple SWAP...I will get a chance to bal the basket...

But the scalps were not my money...it the brokers...I just controlling the DD with the brokers money..

Ita TRADING with the brokers..money..not mine..and grow the bal..

steadily growing the bal and equity..and re bal..during the AUD RUN UP..on Wed.



The runup is almost 100%...there's usually a sell after 5PM EST.

this is a perfect point to imagine a scenario of an account wipe-out.

starting from 0.01 lot, and finally you entered 2 lots of AUD?

from now, AUD starting DOWN DOWN DOWN, and never up again.

will u cut these 2 lots of AUD long?

of coz, u say today won't be D D D, and after 3 hours, you may laugh at me AUD is indeed up for this Wed.

however, the scenario i fabricated above could and will come one day soon or later.

at that point, and that time, how do you do with your 100x-multiplied positions?

will be interesting to see how the hedge, wait, believe, and talk 'control DD' tricks play......

Still holding positions on the AUD...

Its..a GIVEN inthe FOREX MARKET BIG MONEY GOES FOR THE HIGHER INTEREST.

DONT RISK MORE THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO LOOSE..

If this thing turns..then I know my DD limit...at the time of the Trade...

I'm just showing that I use this Technique to BAL the basket... after wild entries .. runaway entries..whatever...you call it and still printing money from trades


ITS A GIVEN in the market..

Most ppl DONT WANT OTHERs to KNOW..How to trade it.

Some ppl with BIG MONEY just TRADE THIS WAY...DUMP IN THE LOTS...Collect the interest and cut..

Again, to me it just seems common sense to run the Indicator trades on a DEMO account, especially if leaving open for longer term watch list of where the strength is.....

only reason I see to use one account for both indicator trades and the system trades is the FEAR of MISSING OUT
It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

Broker Demo broker pays no Tripple SWAP I will be looking for another.

My indicator pairs are left on...with profit in the account..

I'm making profit taking trades using the Brokers Spread..
No stop loss that's all I'm doing. Using techniques.

I haven't given any of my money to the broker...

higher +VE cancels lower -VE trades...

I just balancing the odds in my favor using DD.

The best way to trade is using the currency on the bottom line.. but even if the market moves again you ...there are tools to use to control the movement ...while still able to sleep good at night...

But I HAVE shown you can Trade without given up any $ to the broker..if you use the correct position size. dont be greedy,
Use control techniques..and take the profit.

I wont be trading after today....as I will be travelling...but I'l leave the indis running...

No pair moves 2000 in one session ...If Currencies collapse..well what can you do...that means the only thing of value..is ppl
