If Italy's BOND before next Italy's Auction goes above 7.00% and make itself steady there I shall go for short in EU .

in my non intraday trading ,i have been gauging market sentiment and conditions with some sucsess, trying to follow the overall money flow and reasons why this may change or infact confirm reason to stay with my longer term trades.the italian bond prices were infact my trigger back in november for a no of short positions on the indicies and fx pairs.which turned out very profitable trades.that was also when bond prices were up above 7 ,along with constant bad news from e/u zone,

im still looking to learne and understand more from this type of anaylasis,

Kawser, everything seems good with the strategy and expectations. Also, it will be a very informative thread. However, I am little curious how thick is your skin to handle differing opinions and comments that will be posted here. But more importantly how your thinking of "what people think about my trades and progress" is going to affect your trades. It is very hard part to show your balance and trade in front of thousands eyes. But I thought about 100 times before opening this thread . But finally I decided to do this. I have taken this as my laboratory. I shall discuss and I shall learn here as for me trading is a place of learning forever. If I can achieve at least 30-40% at the year end I shall make happy myself.

okay guys I am sharing here a recent learning point in FOREX market.
FOREX or any kind of financial market is a market of SUPPLY and DEMAND. Whatever the situation , comparative SUPPLY and DEMAND should be my main focus.
Recently ECB has given EUR 489 BILLION to the EURO ZONE BANKS in LTRO for long term, this is completely a SUPPLY of EUR, and EUR fell like hell. Right?
Italy's LONG term BOND is not hugely successful but that was not the main part of the EU fall, main fall was the huge SUPPLY of money.Yes due to EUR ZONE problems smart money is going for short and this is another SUPPLY of EUR in the market. ECB balance sheet is full of huge cash, so that may occur another supply of money in the zone.

There are some other points, I shall discuss it in my upcoming posts. I am right now working on my overall MACRO FRAME for the CURRENCY MARKET.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Well I DID TRY but it turned out to be one of my usual 'novels' as opposed to a simple post!!! LOL!!!

I'm a 'technical only' trader too myself by the way. Put it this way: if you want to become a very wealthy person overnight then ask me for trading advice based on my understanding of the fundamentals for a particular market or instrument AND DO THE OPPOSITE!!! LOL!!!

Personally: I KNOW it's doable (Kawser's goal). And he doesn't have unrealistic expectations either. My usual 'hangouts' are my forums and BabyPips and MAN you've got to SEE some of the threads there and the expectations!!! You know: $100 to $1 000 000 in two months of 10% ROI DAILY!!! There's EVEN somebody (nice chap God bless his soul) who firmly believes that he can double an account daily!!! I give him ten out of ten for trying (and fortunately he's trying this on a demo account only at the moment). I think he got it right ONCE and has had to open about ten new demo accounts after wiping each of them out one day at a time!!! LOL!!!

But then again: 'never say never'!!! Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE. But something being PROBABLE is another matter altogether!!! LOL!!!

Kawser: as you know I said I'd keep monitoring your thread and 'rooting' for you. I have just one comment though. I looked at your performance statistics and ranking in that competition and noticed that (correct me if I'm wrong) you'd MORE than doubled the initial $100 000 in the space of about three or four months (I've not looked today i.e. this was about two weeks ago when you were ranked ninth). My ONLY concern is this: don't be tempted to try to replicate that same performance with your own real money. THOSE types of returns I don't believe are PROBABLE. Alright: only YOU know how you managed to double that account in such a short space of time so only YOU know if it's sustainable or PROBABLE. I guess all I'm saying is that there is a very big difference between your REALISTIC goal of 60% per annum (and possibly more) with your REAL money and what you've managed to achieve in the competition. I'm not saying that this WILL apply to you but all I have to do is look at who wins OUR (Deltastock's) monthly trading competitions. How do they achieve those EXTREME gains within a month??? Simply by overtrading BIG BIG time and 'getting lucky'. Those same traders who win the competitions are usually the first to wipe out their actual prize money within a few hours. It's hard to 'unlearn' bad habits. Just an observation.

It is a contest and I have to take huge leverage to win it....Every month we are given 100k usd and we play with that, I made double my 100k only in 7 trades in January 2012, 6 wins and one losses....This is not a big deal and you know it better than me..Last month I was in 8th position but unfortunately I did a mistake in analyzing fundamental and I was out of 20(my position was 21).
This month I am in position 4 just using FUNDAMENTAL SPECULATION and Technical analysis merging. I don't know how I will do at the end of the month. Here is the link:

Last month I have minimized my one error at least(done in last month)... I am right now studying one DERIVATIVE market very intensively... The other thing I am reading is Central banks different kind of MONETARY policy though I have some basic on it, but open economy is very much complex and I am trying to learn them. Right now my number of posts is little here but this thread will never dead , I can assure it as I really have taken this thread as proving myself in front of thousands eyes..
