thanks for sharing your strategy. I like it because it is simple and it is a trend following one . I did some work and coded it for MetaTrader to do backtests for a longer time period.
That is the result from January 2008 to December 2011 WITHOUT taking care about if we are in a trending market or not. If a candle closes 100 pips or more away from the EMA 50 (H4) a trade is entered and the following trades are entered when the EMA 50 is touched and we are at least 80 pips away from the previous tradeīs entry. Is it possible to have results for one pair ? To compare EUR/USD with EUR/JPY and GBP/USD. I think EUR/USD offers the best...
To avoid ranging periods, i was thinking about this rule :
when 5 SMA cross 3 times 50 EMA, we don't trade before 15 new candles appears.
But your idea with 25 candles is very interesting, only backtesting can help us to show the good way.
