Hey Vantage;

what is this Shirley Hudson's strategy all about??

there are hundreds softwares for sale out in the market and most of
them are useless, so it's hard not to be skeptical.

I read about the system from the link on your blogspot but
not much details there.....

Any information will be helpful

Yes hoping that between a poss ea and Mrs V's efforts (when her arm is better) we'll be back in the saddle trading wise.

I look at charts and discuss with Mrs V every day to keep my eye in as it were. Don't want to lose what took years to gain.

And whilst we are on the subject might as well say cheers to all the great people I've 'met' here along the way and to all the lurkers who pop in from time to time. Happy xmas and all that goes with it if you are that way inclined, happy holidays if you are not.

There is good S level down here for gu and div showing on D and now on W charts.

5 min ea's were nicely stacked for buys in Asian session. Mrs V's shoulder is not good enough to trade she'll pass this early in the year, only starting next week.

I wondered if you had seen this thread http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=323134

And if you have, what your thoughts are on trading the break of the point 2 versus a break and test?

I can see advantages to both - in a strong trend, prices will not always retrace back to the break point, but trading the break can result in fakeouts. Any thoughts?

Mrs V's first trade of year. She missed the earlier lower high moves which are pretty clear.

Entry and after pic's shown. She exited at 50 level for +20 (keeping the 20 pips Bank Hall of Fame guys happy).

Anyway the ema's are clear. 1hr had a large hammer at Y's high. Massive divergence at the double top. Just a great set up and pic perfect 5 min lower highs.

It appears the move up was just the chance to sell rally in down trend. The big guys have increased their eur shorts per COT data - http://www.cashbackforex.com/article...t.aspx?aid=112 - so are we headed much lower, TWT.

Firstly Mrs V has been in the wars and the brief stint at the computer for the above trade hurt a fair bit. She is going to physio weekly but no great improvement as yet, having an op is something she wants to avoid.

I haven't looked at the thread you ref but on prev page here I put on link for robdee's ea thread with the 123PatternV6 which gives trades at close below 2 point. He has done a V7 giving earlier entries. All the arrows on my (busy) 5 min chart are generated from that ea. It does seem to be pretty good.

Mrs V will continue to look for trades at cross of 5 min 8 lwma as a general trade where ma's are clearly showing trend though.

Just for info this is robdee's 123PatternV7beta which gives more aggressive entries. He even seems to get 2b entries, how he codes that goodness only knows. Mrs V does not watch these charts I just look at from time to time.

If you ignore the blue candle buy (which would be ignored as counter trend) at 2953 this ea didn't miss a trick in the move down.

Mrs V wasn't in front of computer for big move down. 5 min red line shows where the 1hr doji closed. The 123patternsV6 shows trades around 5460 and 5230. A great pity perfect lh trades in trend.

She ignored the weak early US session counter trend higher low as per our rules and got the nice 2b re-entry back into trend. Out for just short of +20 when it didn't follow through.

She unfortunately couldn't stay in front of computer for the later follow through sells.

How do you set up the RSI indicator that you have on your charts?

Are you dropping a moving average indicator on to RSI?

What are the settings?

8 rsi as you can see and 8 sma. Yes you drop onto the rsi and under "apply to" choose previous indicators data.

Its the old fozzy, I prefer it to the very popular (now for some reason) TDI as its a standard mt4 option and a little quicker to cross.

Not that I'm sitting here watching indi's as the basis for trades.

However for trading the trend rsi crosses or 8 lwma crosses (candle opens above closes below or vice versa) are really not bad fall back trades i.e. don't take every cross as signal to trade.

Mrs V got these this morning, 1 decent trade a BE and a small winner.

We had a big storm brewing here and unfortunately missed the big drop on the eur as she switched the computer off. The big pity is the storm never materialised but by then her shoulder was also giving problems so she never switched back on.

The above trades are either in line with the 5 min emas OR on gu where the ema's are messy upper wicks on 1hr signalling revert back to trend then looking at 5 min for entry.
