After a couple of weeks back live trading I feel that my money management is a lot better as well as my trading psychology. I have been taught lessons by the market which I will never forget.

This week has been my best trading week so far.

The hardest thing for me to control before was not just jumping straight back in after a losing trade. I am finally starting to see each individual trade as it is now. I realise I will have losers and its just waiting for the next good set-up and not just jumping straight back in after a loser.

Still a long way to go and only time will tell if I have learnt my lessons.

I may start posting a few charts after a couple more weeks but I noticed at the beginning of this journal that I was more interested in showing everyone my good trades rather than just trading each good set-up.

This is pride in my character which the market has smashed me for a few times. When I feel I'm in a good place I may post some more charts, but for now will just be updating with emotional/psychological aspects of how my trading is going.

All the best everyone - please feel free to post comments if you think they will be beneficial to anyone.

Had a good trading week this week. For the first time since I started trading I left the computer alone all day if I met 2% in the morning, or if I took a loss and felt I would revenge trade. Up 8% for the week but this isn't the most important thing. I am just starting to feel I am turning a corner psychologically in my trading. Im not doing much different regarding entries etc but just sticking to stops and lot sizes. Next week will be an important week for me as I have been here before. We will see.

Had another good week so far this week with my trading. Feeling confident that key concepts such as money management and risk reward are starting to get embedded in my decisions more and more. I had reached a good weekly increase already before taking this trade on cable yesterday for a high R:R off the double top formation. I'm going to let this one run now until PA says otherwise.

Trading is going well at the moment. I have the biggest increase in my account since I started trading. Here is a trade I took on GU this morning. Pretty straightforward pullback trade taking an entry off the pin bar.

Today is a good day. I am back in the 'green' on my account.

It has been quite a journey so far but I feel I have now turned a corner in my trading. Time will tell.

At the moment my style has somewhat changed from the way I was trading in the beginning. I am basically using the same techniques but only taking high probability trades for a small number of pips each time (usually 5). A few 5 pip trades before calling it a day has been working well for me.

I think this style has been working well for me because it matches my psycological make-up. This is probably why every trader has to find the style that works for them and this inevitably involves trial and error.

the chart shows pretty huge loss curve. how did you cope with that ?

you are now scalping for 5 pips at a time ? what timeframe and strategy are you using ..?

I was gutted. I knew the potential to earn in forex but just had too much pride holding on to losing trades. That is why it has been great to claw back those losses and finally be back in the green.

I use a combination of MTF line-ups and momentum bars.

My trading has really started improving since I have been using scripts and hotkeys to open trades.

The scripts have a built in lot size which varies according to your equity. Because of this if your equity increases then your lot size increases accordingly. It is like the market gives you built in pay-rises!

Trade in a diciplined way and your account increases, and as your account increases, your lot size increases.

This week I have had about 5 pay rises!

Conversely if your account decreases you get a pay-cut!
