DislikedYes exploited both swings today, but I also needed to cover my position, damn US brokers they dont allow hedging so i needed to apply spot on buy/sell strategy.Ignored
DislikedNYSE more significantly under pressure now ...
But not the EURO (!) at the same time ...
Be aware of that phenomenon ...

DislikedI moved out USA because this reason , but more is that you close first what you opened first .Ignored
DislikedMy personal account is of EU broker. But i have also US clients and im managing their accounts on OANDA. No US broker allows hedging.
Also about FIFO rule, it can be avoided by opening +/- 0.1 of the first positionIgnored
Dislikedhmmm ,
that's interesting , gotta try that .
I have still account there but with pennies
I don't hedge at all any how .Ignored
DislikedFor example:
1st BUY order is 1.0 lots
2nd BUY ORDER is 1.0 lots
That way u need to close your first long first. But if u had opened 1.2 lots or anything different from 1.0 you could have closed your second order too.Ignored

DislikedI looked at oanda for my second account but excluded it as a choice after learning about the US rules. They allow to have subaccounts and I understand it is easy to transfer credit back and forth between them, but why would one want to have that hassle as long as there are other choices..Ignored
Disliked1.353x area need some nice momentum to break it........
Previously it has held multiple time........ some what it completes upper range too.........Ignored

DislikedOne of the accounts I trade are under OANDA's MT4 broker platform.
FIFO rules means that you need to close your positions in the order you previously opened it. The position which was first opened will be the first to be closed.
That is the most stupid rule along with no hedging allowed. FIFO rule applies only to US brokers and fortunately most of prominent EU brokers dont have that nonsense bull...t rule.
For example:
1st entry is long EU 3500 1.0 lot
2nd entry is long EU 3545 1.0 lot ( that way u are using market's money)
The rule says...Ignored

DislikedT@ra ... you and me ... we should remember what we talked about even longer than one year ago ...
And you and me ... we know the FIFO rules ... we talked about already ...
But I mean ... write in a more clear way ... what you can do in that example ... as you mentioned it ... that you can avoid such things by using your "hat-trick" there ... with two different orders in different order sizes ...
You mentioned one with 1.0 + one pos with 1.2 ... what does that change then with your OANDA ... ??Ignored
DislikedHere:
You can avoid FIFO rule if you open 2 positions which differ by 0.1 pip only.
For example:
1st BUY order is 1.0 lot
2nd buy order is 1.01 or 0.99 it just needs to be different. Then you can close your second order.Ignored
DislikedOk ... simply needs to be differnt in ordersize ... then possible to close that specific one that you want ...
In other words ... they don't have a specific order-ID identification that also have influence for the creation of specific limit orders or any other kind of orders creation (only linked to a specific position identified by ID) so that you must create different order sizes ... then it can identify the one specific position you want to have closed first ...
Order-ID are only provided then for accounting (back office IDs) purposes...Ignored
