In the early parts of this thread I didn't understand it myself because I had already set my ways. So I do sympathise. I eventually started understanding when I put a naked 5 min chart in front of me and started trading. Then it was about retraining and internalisation, which takes time. Fortunately, I wasn't trading for too long before discovering this thread so I didn't have a great deal of bad habits.

For me it is a self discovery excercise. Knowing my emotional bounds and addressing them, especially fear. The scorpion likes to visit when things get rough but with the right strategies, it can be contained. Remember the three magic rules?

When people break the rules, get themselves into a mess and keep watching their crystal ball, emotions get high. I think both myself and fti detected that. It is part of the learning curve but lets hope the lesson is learnt.

May I ask who you referin to here? Who call who names first? If people fair and read thread without take side, redlion was call bad name first. Most insulting and not right. so yes he who has no control over his tongue will often have to face discomfort and I not refer to redlion.

I understand.
Many would gain some training from all this.
But is very sad for me, when one supposedly is following and learned from me, come atelling all. You got to predict. Then peeps start getting hard in the arteries and dig themselves into holes that they cannot climb out of.
Same like recently when all build such a strong short euro bias , even i had a hard time digging out of that hole. Fortunately God willing, managed to dig out with good pips after stressed high skews.
But no matter, I try help as many as i can. the rest is heaven's will.
I just gotta let it be. There's only so much I can do. Everything needs end somewhere. Maybe the surfacing of renegades is sign for me, I had done enough.

buy or sell by definition there is prediction to it.

now fti mentions not to be mechanical and not to trade solely on indicators read, but the whole follow price thing idea i think sometimes is taken too far in this thread.

objective analysis, of market and trade is what is really required, but then again objective is very subjective in financial instrument trading. hence the difficulty of this endeavor,

Nubcake is a bit of a nonsense, fast with his mind (to inplant stuff in other peoples head) but slow with is heart. Not worth it.

second of all, it is logical to say that
buy= expected appreciation
sell= expected devaluation

we anticipate price, and attempt to objectively analyse it, we take many factors in consideration before arriving to a decision, but at the end of the day, no matter what decision we make.

the influx of money coming in and out of the market, political, macro economic factors, or interventions= orders being match turning price up or down, with every tick changing the picture in front and we need to continue to analyse whether our analysis is still valid.

hence my statement that there is always a prediction factor to it, the only way to not predict is to ignore the market all together. i just got irritated with the vagueness of how this whole concept, or how far people take this in this thread, and how i get attacked excommunicated, and now everyone assumes i must be a trading failure.................because i dared present my point of view.

You need to step back and think from an Traditional Eastern and Mentor/Student mindset, to publicly contradict the teacher, specially in his classroom is considered extremely rude.

To go back to nubcake nonsense, in my view the intelligence of the heart is more important of the intelligence of the mind.

You can be smart, but if is not use for any good is not worth it.

For the rest I think is just family business, we do not have to agree with our family and sometime we want tell them that we see things in different way,
just because subconsciously we want to confirm our love to them.

I do not see anything wrong in that and I think is healthy to clear things up.

but i am an AMERICAN, it is not in my culture to submit as an eastern mentor student, like karate kid.

You see, too much analysis. Too much going through your head my friend. You take a position and once you're in, you manage it based on what is appearing before your eyes. Always protect your book. Stay with the basics. You can't come here and start telling people how it is, if you yourself don't understand and still expect respect.

If someone offended you then maybe a box of tissues will help? How do you manage your emotions in the market? Do you expect the market to apologise each time it goes against you? Who is right?

Hi Redlion, hope you decide to stay and participate here in fti's thread. You have always provided excellent input in every thread I've seen you participating. As for nubcake, he may be smart, but keep in mind smart people are a dime a dozen. The only thing that counts is accomplishment. Smart + failure = failure. Best wishes to you and good trading.
