brijon, I have been reading everything you have posted & every video you provided for at least a year.... I have to admit that I am one of those that have difficulty to understand your written posts and often can not follow the videos, but....

1. There is no short-cut to learning & understanding but practise, practise, practise

2. To all the hecklers in this thread, do us all a favour & choose a different thread to do what you do, Brijon is kind enough to share his experience despite all criticism - it is up to you to put the work in to see or leave...

3. After the flurry of recent activities, I decided to try this hands-on since last week:
- I consider the 10 pairs an "indicative basket" rather than a "hedge"
- I put on the basket with 0.1 lots, wait 2 hours for it to stabilize
- for the three pairs with the highest positive balance, I add each one additional order of 0.5 lots (if it is a "sell pair" I sell / if it is a "buy pair" I buy)
- I close the basket plus the additionally placed orders when the total is around 3% on equity
- after closure I wait 1-2 hours, put on a new basket and a new cycle begins
- I always filter my Account History on "today" only, the previous days were also between 4-9% on equity

4. IMHO it is not necessary to close the basket as it will cycle thru loss-profit-loss. In my mind the basket it only there to visualize the trending pairs (I may be wrong here...). For those here that are concerned about the draw-down on the basket, suggest you enter basket with the smallest lot size allowed by your respective broker.

5. Attached screenshot is this morning's result during Asian trading hours - JPY was a dream - not bad for 4.5 hours screen time

Brijon, please continue to share as you see fit, it is up to us to make head or tail of it & thanks a lot for sharing as you have done so far!

thank you mate the hecklers are basic loosers if they wernt they would NOT post here but they are the loosers

i just look at the hecklers post then clickast there name click and block

same as make a guy your budy you vote him in

ones a looser

the others a winner

basicly they have another ajenda heckling on here

or other threads

they dont want any body to win

Thank-you for your informative post.
If this is true, then we should be able to keep the basket on Demo and make the trades on Live, using the basket as only an indi as Trader101. (I know this has been mentioned before)
So, the indi shows us the pairs in strentgth and we control our losses or manage our live trades as we see fit. (ie. close or hedge)
Perhaps the basket only gives the illusion of being hedged..........
Brijon or anyone else if there is a flaw in this, please let me know......

Either way, very interesting way to trade and looks very profitable.............will try on Demo first and see if it suits me.

Monday I started trading with 10K account. by end the day I was up 12% with drawdown of 20%. Didn't really follow all the rules on lot size and keeping DD down.

Based on my learning from that, and my aim to trade this live from 1st Dec, aim is consistant profitability avg 7% to 10% a month and not looking to double my account every week. I have taken a much safer approach.

Opening a demo account with 100Kand trading fixed 0.20 lot. Open all the hedge pair, only taking profit and replacing if dd drops below $200.

I have seen dd swing between $500 and $100 so far on 0.20 lot.

Currently I have banked $443 from 17 closed trade. I have 11 open trades currently with DD of $110 at this time.

I will keep doing this for next 2 weeks to see what the result is, I will close entire basket only if I get to postive hedge of $100 and then start over again.

I am also not going to open any trade for interest swaps as I believe that might create an imbalance in the basket and expose risk.

I have not looked at any chart. Trying to keep with no chart philosophy..and use only price as indicator.
Trading is SIMPLE not EASY.

Hi,

Just a recap:
Day 1 - Sales/dd: 220 / ~(-50). So it was great - beginners luck!!!

Day 2
- Very bad day. in a out of the office all day, trying to trade in between.
- Bad choose of trades and DD up to -270, 3 gpb/usd positions opened during a retrace were bleeding DD.
- At some point had to make a decision and close some slots at a lost.
- DD came back to -(50 / 70).
- At the end of the day it was again -100.
- So i push hard on SELL positions either from the bottom and up slots.
- went to bed

Day 3
- This morning I got this:

- When taking breakfast, made the decision to. IF equity > 1300€ close everything and start a new basket.
- At this stage is very difficult to manage all those trades. One has to be in front of the PC to handle trades efficiently.

So equitity went above 1300, I had a 2nd thought (greed) but decided to go ahead and close all.

Started a new basket and keep moving on. when closing all those positions equity went down a bit. At Dukas one pays to open/close positions.

So here is my new basket, places about 1.5 half hours ago.

My options to fight DD.
- Let go some position that were bleeding the results. Ok those were losses but overall result went positive.
- If market want SHORT, so push hard on SHORTS and wait for them to produce results. Some could argue "you're lucky". Yeahh, but on a beach to find out if the water is cold or warm enough, one has to get his feet wet.

- Another thing I realized was currently I cannot stand the stress of having DD too high and keep the pace with 25+ positions open. Its completely out of my comfort limit zone. So the best thing was to put everything in a place I think a could manage.


I'll start playing again soon.

Ya? Whats your point? They aren't going to take a BS award and admit they rip off retail traders?

P.S. My experience with them is live and over a few years. ANY time I started sizing up after a method would have a good hit ratio, funny things would happen.

Kumo unless there was a spike stop hunt visible exclusively on your platform that you've taken a screen shot of and nowhere to be found on any other platform then I have a hard time believing anything about stop hunts.

LOL, ok don't believe me it's your money. I know I must have sour grapes and just be an awful trader, they are best broker ever and ur gonna get rich trading with them.

Hi Brijon,

For all the Pit Bulls Traders out there I found a nice indicator that shows you the Swap value easy without going up and down to your Symbol properties.

I was never with them but from what I've heard, they are the worst of the worst.

Why don't you guys use FXDD Malta, EU regulated, hedging allowed.

Probably because we are Screw Us, I mean U.S. citizens and we can't open an account with them. I need to find some of my long lost relatives from Malta and have them open an account for me.

Funny thing is Dodd/Frank was supposed to prevent exactly what happened with MF Global. So yeah, it's all about screwing the little guy. I am seriously considering moving out of this country but for now all I can do is have the U.S Communist Party flag as my avatar...

Had a good day today on demo, was operating as if I had a 10,000 acct although my demo is around 90k. Began the day at $89,275, kept DD to a minimum to the best of my ability so far...needs work. I kept everything the same size at all times to avoid getting hammered should my bias prove wrong and everything flip. Not ready to put on larger positions until I really know what I'm doing.

Opened demo about an hour prior to US open, just after open bias was BUY so opened 3 more equal size positions long....took some heat as everything realigned but proved to be the right direction. I left the big earners in the two bottom slots alone to keep my DD in check and just culled from the third spot everytime it got nicely in profit and sent that same pair back in long.

At a certain point was up close to 1k on the day with -19usd in DD. I need a close all script, does anyone have one that is simple and effective?

I find watching the spooz helps a lot as well.

Lucky day I guess. Need more practice.

AGREED attila. Bunch of nonsense. Oh, did you know they can legally take part in insider trading? Must be nice to be a congressman, some animals are more equal than others I guess.
