I am trading two demo accounts and so far so good. One is a micro and the other is a mini. I want to thank Dreamliner for the latest .pdf explaining drawdown control by hedging when a pair reaches a certain loss. On the micro account I have printed $48.00 and my DD is $20.00. This is awsome on a micro in just 3 hours. Also, thanks Brian and I look forward to chatting with you on skype

When I am in that predicament, I don't just sit there. I trade the other way whatever comes next. Even if you are in a DD, as long as the Balance and the equity are going up, it's all good. Then, if you really want to get out of a bad trade, you apply some of your profit against that trade or rather close it partially. This way the pain is easier to deal with.

don't forget the rubberband behaviour, nothing moves in one direction forever.

Keeps taking small positions always in direction of the move. keeps your DD low when it goes against your. Good this about this strategy is you are taking position based on PA, and no other indicator, as we all know, PA is the best and true leading indicator.

4.27% banked so far from Asian session.

Please explain "I trade the other way whatever comes next." I do not understand what you mean. I do understand the rest of what you are saying.

Attached is a picture of my drawdown currently. Most of the .04 (400 units with Oanda) are at the top now.

I would be happy to vouch for Brijon. We worked together on the Kantor method a couple years ago. However, I don't have any vouchers. I have been on this forum for over 5 years. See that yellow line at the bottom? I've got suckered into that sell. but as soon as it engulfed north, I went long for that long candle. Now it's in a little bit of a retrace and it could continue up some more. If it does engulf (my signal of direction change) north, I'll long. If this continue to drop, I'll short but: Because it's doubling down, I'll take profit more often on the short so that I don't have two losers if it decides to act up.

Brian's method is extremely good for controlling the DD but you still have to be able to figure out when the direction changes (either using his probe trades, or by some other method). For me the signal is Bullish or Bearish engulfing. That's it. Nothing more nothing less. I use Brian's probes system to pick the best moving pairs, and I usually take both ends of the grid. The highest in profit(the bottom trade) and the biggest losers (the one on top) in reverse. Then I watch what they do, If they move up/down the slots, I think about exiting or what to do next. Maybe I hold and I add for whoever is at the bottom/top. It depends.

Any chance of sending mq4---I need to modify the pairs names to eg EUR/USD.fx----my platform has the fx added to pairs name.

These are typical reversal patterns on H4. And the way the PA looks right now, we could go long some more.....
And if it does, so what? I go long.

Not the way Brijon has explained it. You close trades that go to the bottom, meaning those that go in profit. So you are cutting those profits short, then re-entering at .04. The trades that go in to negative territory we have not had an explanation as to how to handle, except for hedging (which I can't do).

Please explain it then, if you don't mind. Nothing is staring me in the face, and I'm watching my drawdown increase exponentially while my small profits are increasing in a linear manner.

I disagree. From what he's saying, you keep them as long as the equity goes UP and the prices are stable in one direction. You only close them when the equity starts going down and only if the DD is less than your current balance minus the starting balance. I know, one can say. What if the trade goes bad from the get go. Yes it can, but then you look at PA or whatever other s/r s/d areas, PA, volume etc. There is no fail proof system. You still have to look at the price.... You still have to make trading decisions.

if you do it the way i suggested in my original post, then the 0.01 lots stop acting as an indicator which is the original intent of the author.

for example, eurusd 0.01 buy lot comes to the bottom slot and is steady in positive area. original method says you buy eurusd 0.04 then delete the 0.01 lot.

now here's the important bit: by doing as above, the bottom slot becomes available for some other pair, because you have closed the original 0.01 in profit (its no longer there in the bottom slot), plus the new one you open will NOT BE in the bottom slot as it will immediately be in draw down due to the spread (most times any way). So the bottom slot becomes available to other winners, and the game continues.

if you do it as i stupidly suggested, you will open a new eurusd buy 0.03 lot, but the ORIGINAL 0.01 LOT WILL STILL BE IN THE BOTTOM SLOT, and you are left with the dilemma as to what to do next; buy another lot because the 0.01 lot may continue occupying the bottom slot for a while!

if you try doing it the second way, you WILL see the issue that leads to.
