I like simple thing so I'm using similar (scalp) method as "lawgirl21" in this thread:
MA cross HMA on M5 chart as you can see in image

MA setup:
period=8
shift=1
MA method=Linear Weighted
Apply to=close

HMA setup:
period=55
method=3
price=0

you can use in any time frame but I found it is most profitable in M5

who took the short in eur/usd at the 1hr/15 minute timeframe 5 minutes ago?

It would have to creep down a LOT to take those averages back over...

Generally what happens is that the 15 minute averages are crossed and up whenever the hourly averages are first crossing, they have to be due to how averages work.

Am I right in thinking here that you are waiting for a close of that hourly bar before entering? I didn't think bars were part of this?

Another thought, considering angles of MAs - are people just using the 3 or both the 3 and 5 to determine angle? (i.e. both the 3 and 5 have to be 4-6 O clock etc?)

time of trading 07:00 - 19:00 (GMT+1)

Does anyone know where there is the use of MT4 for free Alpari seem to restrict how long you can use it on a demo account..

Alapri demo accnts last 30 days. you just re-register via mt4 and it dishes out a new username and password

LG - these breakouts you're showing - are you taking them when price breaks out the box or the MAs?
