was not aware of the details you have given lately.
I was already impressed by your vitae, but you topped it defintively.

Regarding the Rogue Traders:
To have an idea what went wrong in their psyche and at what time, it has given me some insides to read the books from Nick and also Jerome Kerviel. we can spot relativel easy, when things started to go wrong.
I use it a reminder for my recent controlling of my mindset.
I also briefed some friend of mine, what they should look for ...

Hope that will prevent me from going wrong.

Have traded for my Trading Challenge goals the last 30 minutes.
Will go to bed now.

Is it possible to know in which TF do you execute your trades? I heard that your trades based on the tick chart. Could you please articulate if you wish, you know is good to know how a good trader does it.

Hi mla,

yes of course, no secrets here.

I would say, that basically I'm not too far from fti's teachings.
But because of some time constraints I have shifted the "whole story" down 1 level on the TF scale.
What is the M5 for fti is the M1 for me (and so on). I check the tick chart for my timing, cause it is very easy to spot upcoming momentum there.

My average trade holding time is around 12 minutes ...

SIr neils, redlion told me much bout u on our calls on skype! "mamood trades ticks" WHAT?! i was surprised and white like id seen a ghost or something! do u use the aspects of sup/res and acceleration and deceleration and peaks and valleys as sort of base for it? i tried that and its a little tiring...

I appreciate that very much and I tell you why I am asking.

Because you words are always nice and balanced I got interested, I asked around and I think either Buma or Red told me about the tick chart that you use.

To be honest I am just started to experiment today on my small micro account with the 1m TF after I spend all weekend and more to draft the guides for a new system (guides not rules, if not Fti gets annoyed).

So since this morning I pocket around 75 pips in and out and the trades last between 10 to 15m, the time to go and get to another level. I had a few losses as well, but the pips loss are nearly half of my winners.

It feels good and I am pleased.

not much really.
knowing friends are safe, profitable and happy.
able internalise the mindset more than the MO.
mostly feels good that many of you learn whats really like being trader.
Needs so many more good traders in the world.
Mostly what I hear from market talk is very sad.
somehow everyone seems hitting the wall.
even i tell you why, peeps still not understand. esp the young.
but is ok, its their learning curve, if they ever get thru it.

In fact all the top ones i know of are the nicest simplest kind people around.
Its the arragant ones i see show big air then cry to the streets.
Normally is half pale water makes much noise.
The full pales , are very quiet, contented and consistant.

Hi fti and seniors of this thread, just found this thread and very very previlaged; a rare find. I had few margin calls and thinking to fund my account again and start to be active. I have started reading (page 96)and find a lot of hidden treasures, as i can relate heaps from my own experience.

Happy trading day everyone. fti, it is good to read your posts today. The thread is really alive when its leader is here!

Auxesis, good trade on the yen. I took my long position off on Friday hoping to re-establish it today. Ooops.

Just finished my chart work for this session and everything seems jumbled up after CB intervention and some issues in Europe. Waiting for things to settle a bit. Keeing an eye on the CAD now, checking others for position.

MaMood, my hat is off to anyone who can trade a 1M chart. Well done!

hmmh - not feeling confortable with the statement, I'm trading tick-charts. So I was pondering again aboout it:

I think it is closer to reality to say I'm trading something between M1 and M5 chart, but my radar or "early-warning-system" is based on Tick-charts.

I think it is best, when you, redlion, Buma and me will have a session together. It is really misleading you, this tick-chart statement that is somehow around there ...

Give me a shout, when you are interested.
We will find a common time-window for sure ...
