DislikedWhether they are better or not in those terms I'm not 100% sure - they are a bucket shop just the same. You hear very good things about them and also bad, whether the bad is always genuine I don't know - could just be a trader that guessed wrong again today and blew their account, therefore in their mind it's the broker playing tricks.
What I DO know about OANDA is that you can trade at whatever size you like - you''re not limited to a minimum of Ł1 a pip as you are with most SBs (I know IG does the 10p thing but it's only for a week or something)....Ignored
DislikedI'll post some indicators once I'm in front of my computer later tonight. They will show all SRs for all TFs on one screen, it's pretty much guaranteed to improve our exitsIgnored
DislikedI think 20 pips from a scalping setup is pretty impressive.
I believe traders have to determine their own exit strategies, whether its at S/R levels, set number of pips, whatever. Exits, to me, are the most personal elements of trading and involve must more than set rules. What is a good exit for one trader may not be for the next one.
I am a follower of Bernard Baruch's trading philosophy about which he said, and I paraphrase: I do not try to catch the beginning and the end of a trend, I just want to catch part of the middle of the trend....but...Ignored

DislikedI am using another sys But it is a bit slow flicking through the charts so I started to use this sys last night to quickly flick through to find any thing worth looking at. This sys also gives a better entry I think. With my first try out last night I had a very good result. up $218.86 on trading two micros so that works out at a few pips. Not sure how many but if I change to mini lots that could buy the odd coffee down town.Ignored
DislikedVery well stated TSD, and I agree with you, but I think different market conditions dictate different plans. I have never relied on trailing stops like I have this week. I have never been a scalper, but I did scalp alot this week, and I enjoyed it, but stress level was up.
I haven't analyzed charts yet and wont until this weekend, but I am wondering if major S/R levels were honored this week? I am thinking not, but it could be that I just got a little spooked by the market this week and decided to pull pips off the table "one by one" practically....Ignored
DislikedHi LG
Most definitely agree LG. Different markets conditions require different trading plans. If one is not fully prepared to trade in a given environment it may be best not to trade. A proper trade management plan will give the opportunity to trade profitably. For example: You have been scalping the markets this week. 10, 20, 30 pips are reasonable and very respectable… Careful, it can become addicting.
