The latest java update made my jforex platform crash. So, in updating I lost all the settings. Therefore the order was made at the minimum setting of the platform. I added so now I have a standard entry with price 19.

Therefore the correct entry is sh eu 19.

Personnaly, i always have a copy of my platform on another hardrive with all the settings, so i have no more problems since.

I read your journal with much interest as I trade in a similar style. I counter-trend and average in when the price moves against me.

What do you think of trading long and short at the same time? In this way, you can always take profit on the winning position. On your losing side, you can then average in as you are doing.

I agree that having a large account is very important for such a strategy. I blew my account due to lack of margin. Now I am still adopting the same strategy but more conservatively.

May I ask if this is your main system as a full time trader?

Thank you for your post Darren.

Yes, this is my only style. I think is versatile enough to cover all situations.

Concerning the long and short in same time, I do not do this. For me opening a short position when I am in loss with he long one is just a method to release part of the used trading line. This is the last resort when I have a heavy position.

I trade only one direction at a time and it is according to my analysis. But this is just me.

Concerning the margin call that you had, I cannot stress enough that the key is in the Money Management. Especially now when the market is very volatile.
