Buma, I hope you don't feel your buddies are being too harsh on you. Use the period away wisely. Slow down enough for your inner thoughts to catch up with you and then reflect deeply on recent events and why your buddies said what they say to you. When your buddies get upset with you, it's because they care. You are in an enviable position where you have so many trading buddies/mentors guiding you and caring for you, so do everything within your powers to protect this special relationship you have with them.

edit. and I guess I will not be posting here till the 29th too.

My my, a forex intervention. I have never seen that before. I am not sure if I should be horrified or if I should applaud. Regardless, I only see good guys with good intentions doing what they think best, so I am sure it will turn out fine.

Good for you little guy..... must be sweating and palpitating fr withdrawal syndrome right now. Fx is very addictive you know.. especially if you are exposed at such young age.

As far as eur/usd trade and hold above 1.3910 for me it would more likely turn itself to greens and go to 1.4160
If it breaks 1.3550 then we can see 4 Oct , 6 Oct and may be 1.30
But i am neutral and my range would be between 1.3950 to 1.3550

I do realize the due date is the 29th, today is the 24th for me, still lot of days to go till then. I honestly believe that i am ready to go back posting, and i have considered and reflected a lot on my previous actions. firstly, i would like to apologize publicly on this thread to mostly redlion, mla, highlander2. I have disregarded my very own mentors and friends sound advice and threw them in the trash can, in which i should have thrown my complacency and over-excessive pride levels in that time. I believe i am the cause of this, and i do not blame anyone for this happening. I caught up a lot with family and friends, had lots of time to do schoolwork, and had a few swing trades per 2-3 days. I believe i honestly got out of hand way out, with what happened. That totally wasn't me. I was controlled by my ego, the darker side of myself, that i'd hate to see released from his cage again. I have learnt that from this experience, that no matter how far or how great you succeed, you are even closer to falling off the edge ----> failure. I fell obviously. I am trying to reset myself to walk on the right path and live the right path. I honestly believe the 29th or today will not have great impact on what i already became. I changed a lot of myself, i truly feel more peaceful more serene with life itself once more.

I am back from the break, i feel better, i am overall feeling good, and over the break, i only done couple of swing trades, simple stuff. sniping but simple, not really stressing myself, and being chilaxed with it. words cannot describe me missing all you buddies of mine, and its not trading i miss, its you guys i miss most.

if trading, its cycle and simplicity, and i use a non-lag moving average of 90 periods shifted forwards 90 periods. basically seeing where circular angle-wise price may turn. now, this is of course does not determine direction but it determines a turn; cyclical. its not precise, therefore i still use my cycle lines, and manually count bars myself.

a peak and a valley on the moving average are what we look out for, in accordance to supply demand, trend/non-trending environment, low risk entries, and with the master chart..

I hope people will start coming back soon. my thread is dying in the meantime. needs a ressurection.

The weekend wasn't nearly the drunken slugfest I thought it would be, and the Euro acted largely as I expected so my position left on over the weekend is now nicely in profit.

If investors/speculators continue to ignore the economic bad news piling up, too bad for them. Euro zone looks headed either for flat growth or recession, a rate cut very soon is all but a certainty.

I am short from 1.38656 and 1.38429 with two equal sized small positions that I intend to let ride unless there is a major move against, and just keep adding short positions for what should be a cold November for the Euro.

i might close these out sooner than the expected TP target, and its in profit now. i wanna stay consistent of 3-5% per day of $1000 which is about $30-$50.

today its pretty tight, but these trades look beautiful for now.

ill put trailing stops actually for these ones, and im done i guess.

sorry its in black and white. saving workspaces always have this problem.

today if they are caught is a profit day of 1%, i had a few losses to cover up.

ADD: gold is caught. that is a plus of 0.05% $1000. and originally this was a legendary $300 account. its demo though, and live will have to wait, for my dad really soon. will update soon on that.

True. november is where we need to see what investors really want from either the dollar or the euro. to me they are not the best ideally, but i see people more likely running for the dollar in the long term, seeing that euro hopes are falsifying and fake. in my opinion.

spain, italy, we gotta see their problems in speech soon.

I found this fascinating reading and very prescient. The US oil and gas BOOM that is coming has largely been ignored while our President tries to turn green despite us sitting on 300 years of cheap energy. I wonder if we will soon see "occupy north dakota".

Hi buma,

From now on you will have to monitor yourself closely, and have the discipline to take time of when you need it. I guarantee that if you mindset is wrong you will not profit from the markets.

Promise me that you will not be up all night looking at the markets, lack of sleep will not benefit your trading performance, or any other aspect of your life, especially when your young. Your body regenerates itself when you sleep and in your case you will be growing.

It would be a real shame to piss away your youth in front of a monitor. Something you would regret in later life.

mla has spoken to me about having a some sort of routine to follow, and I agree with him. otherwise it is very easy to let FX become all consuming.

You mentioned live trading, perhaps live trading would be a good thing. Demo accounts can lead to an "I am a hero attitude" and a feeling of invincibility. Not a good mindset to be in. You should however start very small.
