So far no trades or alert with the latest Capito's Intraday indicator. How about you guys?

I've been reading this thread and studying this method, but havent posted. This is my first post here.

First, I would like to thank Capito for sharing his ingenious trading idea here. While I enjoy reading about the variations being introduced to the method, I believe the original method has merit.

If you do some basic statistics on most currency pairs using weekly/monthly data, you'll quickly notice a recurring pattern: highs and lows are more likely to be formed during the first and the last days of the week/month. It makes perfect sense to me because large institutional traders usually should open/close their swing positions at those times.

My point: this method is not just about using a strategy indiscriminately to create entries. The strategy has the potential to yield much higher profits if deployed during the specific timing mentioned by the OP.

Any one else having trouble with Sigtrader and the connection ?
When I register an account with them, everything is fine.
However, when I shut it down and re-open I keep getting No Connection message (even though I'm using the same ID and password).

Any ideas why or how I can get round it ?

I'm seeing a lot of intraday signals for AUD, USD and JPY pairs now but most of them have significant support/resistance ahead.

Do we wait on price to breakthrough and maybe miss the opportunity or enter immediately on the signal?

A lot of people mention what "large institutional traders" do, because whatever they say about these traders is a safe bet. The reality is, unless one is a large, institutional trader, one has absolutely no idea what they do nor when, what positions they take nor why.

I have a friend who is a large institutional trader, he trades forex for a living at a bank. He trades nothing like what is mentioned below, and he tells me that his friends do not either. They trade support/resistance, that is all, and they trade anytime of the month.

Reread if you will. Not making a statement, merely a supposition as to why the market behaves the way it does. The market is likelier to start/finish swings at the start/end of week/month. Every action has an agent, therefore i find it safe to conclude that there was heavy positioning at those times. If you say this positioning was not caused by the action of "large institutional traders" then I believe you, but whoever it was it was BIG...

Hi, all!

I want to thank Capito for such interesting idea, trading algorithm, and other guys for involvements. I'm reading and studying this thread for a few weeks and trying to formalize the rules.

Firstly I want to create indicator similar to Lawgirl's but with ability to show RSI values (arrow and numbers) for any bar in the history. It will be helpful when doing a manual backtest of this strategy (and also will help to reproduce deals described in the beginning of the thread).

While analyzing source of Lawgirl's indicator, I have noticed that it counts RSI of the current (0 bar) and previous. Is it really that required? For example:
- assume now is 00:01
- Lawgirl's will calculate its values for D1 using RSI of previous day and RSI of current day. But it was started only a minute ago!

Actually it iterates each period (TradePeriodTF[j]) so for daily it will take previous and current day. Yes it is required in order to know the direction of the RSI, not just current value.

Yes, I understand, that this code is for calculating RSI direction. I mean that it is strange to take current value into consideration, because 0 bar is not formed and will vary very often. I think that the more proper way for counting direction is:

Daniil it depends on what results you expect right While we sit in front of monitor right now we want to see the very actual real time values. If you would like to analyze historical data your way may be better. Since you change the code, your values will vary from what we see in real time. Bear that in mind.

Yes. I'm going to finish my indicator at the evening and will look at the difference with realtime trading.

Does anyone have the MQL4 code for this or know the formula to get ADR and then the spread vs ADR?

if u r trading REAL money on M1-->H1 TF u can't ignore support/resistance and DAILY pivots

if u r DEMO trading..do wathever u want

this is my humble opinion

Good to see a lot of action happening on the thread. Thank you guys.

I will be trading again in the first week november. AUD has been the clear winner this month.

So lets see how the next month starts.

Has anybody got trades with Ride.Inc's new Intraday indicator. i will start testing it from next week which will be a fresh month.
