yes mathematically it is irrelevant, but higher spread is higher cost

yes both netted 5000 however taxes will be paid as well.

So what you saying is this: if you broker charges you 10 pips spread and mine charges me 1 pip spread and we both make 5000 pips each, we make the same amount of money. Mah, I think I heard a lot of crap for one today, I am taking a break.

not too wise, but if quickly implemented it could work

re entered short 3785 , however possibility of upside breakthrough is great,

price flooring strongly at 3770 no downside pressure by asia, so a possible bullsh formation can be in play. look for a break on 3790, not a spike but a real break. then bail if short

that's like asking if 1 = 1, what is 1?

but your question was not about profit. your question was "what will be the difference in money between 1 and 2 pips". we just covered that profits will obviously be the same, but everything else will not be.

the spread doesn't even matter (edit : i mean "isn't the whole story". spread matters) for the other aspects of "money" involved because even if 2 different traders had the exact same spread it could take trader A 1 trade to reach 5000 pips on 1 lot, yet take trader 2 (with the same spread as trader 1, remember) 100 trades or 1000 trades or a million trades to reach 5000 pips.

so.... what is the difference in money (not just profits)? well, how about you keep in consideration that the amount of trades is a factor that determines all costs involved with trading. 5000 pips is 5000 pips, but that's the only constant. all other aspects are variable until you make further definitions. the funds lost just on losing the spread each trade will differ depending on the spread, and depending on how many trades.

if you want to have a whine because your question was not well-formed, if not pointless, then so be it.
