Thanks for stopping by, really appreciate it.... well, i guess i know it's pertinence and peanuts but it's not really to buy a Aston or F430 ya know.... it's just for my self respect.. that i can pull money off the market and to know that i am learning and gaining something as a result of my learning...

Here is the thing, serious stuff:
$2,000 is a reasonable amount for one to start. At the same time, one should also set reasonable targets. Five hundred % is possible, very much possible, but not in one year or two.
If I were you, would have used this amount to learn how it is possible to generate a consistent yearly return of 20% to 25% without depleting the capital.
Point in forex trading is not to achieve extra-ordinary gains, but finding a method that guarantees that capital would not deplete and there will be consistent profit maybe less than what one expects in any other business.
If eighteen months to three years is considered good enough pay-back period of a business investment (your capital doubles in eighteen months to three years), a five year payback period is very good in forex business. For two reasons: 1) Your original investment remains liquid unlike in a business, 2) You have to put very little physical efforts.
There are no guarantees in this business, but the only guarantee you can provide to yourself is that your system should be logical enough to provide you more than reasonable assurance that your capital would remain intact.
It is a totally different story if one wants to gamble away $2,000 in a year for $10,000 return.

Got to disagree, I'm +130% in 2 weeks, with very little trading time and very few losers, so 500% isn't much really and I don't consider myself as gambling at all.
It's the years and years to get to the above level, I thought I'd be straight in and profitable to but hey 7 years on and off and I might be there
Focus less on the might lose and more on the might profit IMHO, thats what we are here for.

in theory yes, the method seems to stack up long time, there will be bad runs ofcourse, but as the account grows my level of risk will drop and the percentages will decrease.
Goal is get to a approx 10K account, make 50% per month and take that out, leaving 10K to trade with start of each month.
This is likely 1 year out
