anyone can anyone explain me, why cable and fibre going up, because NFP was better than expected, so I was awaiting USDJPY and EURJPY to go UP , but fibre and cable to go down...

We will see 3550 soo now I reckon

For some bizzare reason we have always retraced to chunks of 100...3850, 3750,3650 then straight to 3450...3550 is missing I am expecting that to happen now. Usually market signals bottom out if down moves are big and retraces are same!

unemployment rate as forecast but a rise of almost double the expected number in employment - economic outlook better and poss. risk off for a bit.

Nicely done Azim and good timing! I was previously looking to short gold, now might look like dollar is giving away some recent gains. Might go long instead, if 1666 is cleared.

Dollar still has a strong TL if we look @ H4. Further weakness is not cast in stone for the dollar.

Combined with tech...fundies are good...
Despite doing QE and banks downgraded by moody's, gbp is doing fine. They are doing what europe is doing without raising rates. Not doing any compromise on cuts but borrowing more to run the "cuts cycle". Euro has raised rates and doing cuts and doing QE!!! Good for the market. Indeed bad as such but when compared to US, no rates no cuts and too much QE. We have a good balance and we know who's going to win.

Not sure about that after yesterday's pullback...equities have been pulling back all week. Today's nfp and cannot be said much until the data is out I reckon we will rally for some time. Fundamentals have changed. BOE and ecb are doing free money and when free money is on the move everything goes UP. So be cautious on the downside. I am a buyer on dips now (talking of hollywood 100+ pips trades, they are rare breed now a days ) IF DIX goes below 78.

Here's how I understand it (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). If the news is good for USD, that means that people will be more inclined to purchase US stocks. To do this they have to spend/use US dollars, so the value of the USD goes down (because people are getting rid of it when they spend it). If however, the US news is really bad, people want to sell their stocks and hold on to the dollars, so the demand for dollars increases and the value of USD increases.

If you watch the DJI and GPBUSD, you will see the inverse relationship for the USD. DJI goes up, USD goes down.

but don't forget that USD is still a safe haven currency - if news is generally bad for economy all round - you'll see the dollar rise like it did recently.Think about this - every thing you buy is a trade - if I buy a cheeseburger with GBP - I'm going LONG cheeseburger and SHORT GBP.Same if you buy a stock with USD.You go LONG XYZ (stock name) and SHORT dollar - i.e , you're not holding cash anymore - you're getting rid - you don't demand it - you supply it.

I'm hungry now after thinking about cheeseburgers
