Removing chart from workstation to another monitor ?

Does anyone know how to remove a chart from a workstation to another monitor screen in mt4?

You can't. It has to stay within the MT4 window (which is lame I know). About the best thing you can do is to drag your MT4 window so it stretches across both monitors and then move your chart. MT4 is very dual-monitor unfriendly.

your best bet is just to run another mt4 platform. if you sign for a demo with two different brokers that use mt4, you should be able to run two mt4 stations at once and this way you can have mt4 charts on two screens.

I would still prefer to be able to just have one instance be all I need. Hopefully multi-monitor will be built into the next MT. Although, that being said, 22" widescreen monitors do make things easier .

that was the obvious answer, but some brokers do not let you do that, so i went with the fool proof plan.

I am using 4 monitors (2 over 2) and just dragged it over all 4 monitors.

There is a way to move individual charts in MT4 but you have to buy a tool. Search for tools4meta in yahoo and you will find it. It is a little costly to buy for what it does, but if you really want to move charts between monitors it may be worth it. I have 9 monitors on 1 pc, so it really cuts down on cpu usage for me because I don't have to run 9 separate mt4's.

I don't know where you get that experience, or knowledge from but I run 2 MT4 with GO Markets on my laptop as well as 2 MT4 on my VPS = all logged into the same account, YMMV

MT4 uses very little computer resources so that is not a concern, running just 2 instances should be well within the limits of any modern computer
It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

CORRECTION

I'm surprised this isn't all over the net on every fx forum because I know alot of traders have been wanting detachable mt4 charts for years. I just now found out that the new IBFX mt4 has detachable charts - and it's free. What you do it open a chart and run their ea called mini terminal. There will be a price box that comes up with a tool button(it has a little hammer and a little wrench on it). Hit that and hit undock chart, and now that chart is detached. I think my post is the first post to reveal this anywhere because I've looked on every forum and no one has talked about this. For anyone that has wanted this feature this is huge.

I just downloaded and tried it.

Great work by IBFX. I don't use them as a broker but awesome work.

I tried to use their platform with other servers but errors popped up as expected. But i had to try.
