Glad you sorted it out.....

Am I missing something because seems the EA doesn't take any trades and he's active a multiple pairs. I don't any SL brokers errors.
Moste recent signal is always set to None. I added a comment line in the EA to get VQ values and VQ Up and Down have always the same number (2147483647).

Alerts goes well instead ... An idea why ?

The VQ indicator is a great tool but like most indicators gets sliced and diced during trend changes, retraces or range bound markets, the last few days I have been manualy trading VQ along with the 50 MA color which seems to help with the false trades.....will try it out for a few weeks and report.

This is what I'm looking at, 15 min chart, when we get a cross of the 50 ma we wait untill a candle close without touching the 50 ma, enter on the open of following candle..

35 pip stop, 35 pip take profit...

One more update - I finally remembered to add the maximum lots filter to the Martingale section.

Is it possible to activate the option to close a trade if an opposite-direction signal is detected ? Maybe with an external var ?

Yes it is, but won't a trade have already hit some sort of stop loss by the time this happens?

I have coded closure on a new signal from VQ, or a change of colour by AA.

The Highly Respected Contributor has emailed to say that he is away for a few days and will do some more research when he returns.

Can't wait for the results of that research, given the quality of what we already have.

Gals and galesses, early doors I know, but we might have our momentum indicator. Ok, so I know nobody has articulated, "Oh wouldn't it be great to have an automated momentum indi to help those scalp trades.........." but if there is anyone here who hasn't thought along those lines should perhaps be contemplating trend trading off the MN1 chart.

To set it up the way that dvirma has it, you have to set up Stoch, then drag the posted indi onto the Stoch window, then blank out the stock signal lines and then add the horizontal lines. I also have a BB on the main chart for comparison purposes. For those who cannot be bothered with the faff, download the indi from dvirma's post then the template attached here; the dashed silver lines are the Stoch levels.

Have a look and see what you think guys. My first thoughts are that this could be a big help with HRC's M1 Spider scalping and Aurora. I have no idea how to code a filter that is a pure visual illusion but that is for the future. In the meantime, perhaps it could guide us in deciding when to turn the scalpers on and when to remove them. If this looks to have legs, we can always bat our collective eyes at sq.

I don't know if this will help anyone or help with development of the ea but I'll post it nevertheless. Tis is using the VQ indi and VQ bars on a 4H an 1H chart

The VQ indi "length" on the 1H chart has been set to 20 because it closely follows the 4h CHART. The Non Lag MA can help show when to enter/exit.

A "TRIX" is being used set on a "fast" 2,3 or 3,4 which also shows the"0" line. The 20,80 lines are a stochastic oscillator. The STO lines are blacked out

In short, as long as the VQ indi stays one color on the 4H chart, you can use the 1H for re-entries.
