Indeed. There really is no explanation apart from the fact that the "Rally Base Rally or Drop Base Drop zones are more aggressive trades whereas the Rally Base Drop or Drop Base Rally zones are more conservative trades". Both can still fail and both can work a treat. Therefore, you need to find the style of trading that suits you, develop your rules based on your chosen style and stick to them. I think over time, you will find the above statement to be right. Good luck and don't forget that curiosity killed the cat

I would DEFINITELY recommend this one. I am pretty sure Alex would agree as he was one of the characters in a previous life.

also, re RBR and DBD i noticed that consistently the ones that work, they happen at very edge of a larger timescale level.. and edge of conventional large scale sr flips

so this tiny base happens to be at the exiting edge of large level, just that can't see that laaaarge scale level (or sr flip) because current chart is way zoomed in

With dbd and rbr, pay extra attention to the larger TF supply and demand curve.

Look for these just above/below major dbr and rbd levels, you may have to change your TF to see it clearly.

Btw Czary: there are few books i can highly praise or recommend, al brooks is one of them. Another one which i ca recommend but which has less to do with PA is by Timothy Morge - Mapping the Markets.

Probably the only and best book around regarding pitchforks, it goes indepth on andrews teachings but quite amazingly expands significantly on it. Other than that you can try finding books on orderflow/orderbooks/tape reading. Since it can really enhance your perspective on what traders are doing by a mile, especially in zero sum game instruments such as index futures and commodity futures.

I have yet to find a good book about it though that i would consider paying money for, most of the stuff i know about orderflow i have learned by painfully watching the time&sales and level2 windows =/

because what the protesters want most is to fairly share their own wealth and productivity with 'the less fortunate' while wall street interferes with that desire by somehow not wanting to 'fairly share' theirs.

meanwhile on ff we trade forex to get rich and give some of our 'excess returns' back to our communities.

if only all the profitable trading systems were openly taught and just plain fairly shared on public forums we would all stop competing with each other and be equally and abundantly rich and our world would be such a happy, fair and equal place.
