I hearing some peeps trying put CNY/RMB on the board.
yes, might as well bring some billions more meat into the frying pan.

hi fti, it is good to see you posting again and even better to hear that there is some improvement in your health.

i know i am still learning so i hope this will not be regarded as a silly question but can i ask you as someone who trained people to trade (please do not answer if you do not feel up to it) and any other posters here is it normal to still after more than 3 years (2+1/2 year trying to trade with the wrong info and ego) to suffer from an urge to take trades against the trend, i found your great thread in febuary this year and it has done wonders for me and my trading (thank you), i realized that part of my problem was due to this and i have learnt to control the 'scorpion' within me as regards that issue, i just wondered if this urge will ever leave me or if it is normal to feel this as i feel it is holding me back a bit at times.

wishing you more improvement and good health fti.

Contarian opinion,its human nature.
Moreover its how markets work
they pump and then when pumping stops , levels will try find mid.
Trading against trend is dangerous, but trading both ways recklessly is worst.
One must recognise the trend, and try dance to that rhythm.

As your experience grows , you will learn recognise the rhythm and yu will recognise the scorpion when it surfaces. In due time and not stressed with performance you will have you ways tame that scorpion. Patience and empathy of greed & fear helps. Learning ability to release the ego to be right and watching book performance closely will definately be a bon. Right doesn't always make money. But is most wonderful when even make money when wrong. And proper money management allows you that leeway.

Everybody always thinks they are right. Do you know where all the problems in the world starts. Its because some donkey thinks he so cock sure right, and everyone else suffers because of it. Pure gold will withstand the test of fire. No need for ego for the "good feel". When things are right it flows, there is no need to feel it or tweak it. It just works. If need tweaks then is not the real deal.

Equilibrium is not an absolute. If you like it is a range , a band. And everything conforms to it. Exceed that band and all clips. So no one or nothing is abolutely right or wrong. Just need stay within safe boundaries of that band by prudent strategies.

The winner of maratons is not the 1st chap that hits the finishing line, is the band of peeps who manage finish, in spike of their shortcoming. And trading is a life long persuit. We are only as good as our last trade.

thank you fti for taking the time to answer my question and giving me guidance.

i was thinking that it was something i had engrained in myself from using the indictors and systems that are out there, i feel a bit better now knowing it is not, i am (i think) getting there with your teaching and have altered the way i trade and think in general (which has lead to capturing pips), i am starting to see the candles develop and flow through the time frames as if they are one, i try not to have emotion win or lose, thanks to your rescues and scouts losing is a rarity now and i do not stress about being right or wrong as i now know its study/small entry=attack or resuce (do the best i can), i am starting to enjoy the trading experience (thanks to you again) as i am not concerntrating on each and every trade as though my life depended on it, for me worrying more about my book and being able to fight tomorrow is a great help, i am aware though that without my past failures/attemps at this i would not of understood what you have written and realize that i still have some way to go yet on this journey.

yes fti is a mess, first off, ECB, EFSF cannot act as a central bank with monopoly on monetary policy and there is no fiscal policy in europe.

Germany's greed to have the region as his monetary empire are bankrupting the EZ, France likes the price stability and influence they exert.

this thing does not look good, and do not fix the problem, failed socialism and no unison in fiscal policy.

for the people trading discretionary with a solid money management plan, and using our brains, its good times.

i truly am glad to be seeing you posting sir.

This is going to end so bad... the highway to hell so to say, only without AC/DC. Makes me so sad watiching those pathetic politicians show on TV every night trying to expain how it's all going to be good as long as we kick the can down the road. If you look at any of EU country's plan for debt reduction I don't think there's a single one, where in five years time it is not expected to have more debt compared to today. That being the way to reduce debt. Am I the only one thinking this is economicaly ...insane?!
I am afraid we are now in a phase where the situation is beyond politicians' capabilities to handle it. In Europe for now. Soon in the US too.
