Hi Mer, London is not GMT london time now this time of year is GMT+1. Look at your IBFX chart at the Period seperator, the vertical dotted line and you will see that the time is 00:00

now, im living in madrid and use 04:00 - 07:00 configuration (04:15-07:15 candles).

i have a suggestion:

would be added to the indicator of the first image fibo levels which has the second indicator?

(sorry for my english) xD

My bad, you are correct. I keep forgetting that damn summer GMT shift. Anyhow, the problem is still due to the Sunday trading, so once sqaulou takes a look at it, we should be okay.

tnavi, the source code for the indicator is there if you want to make those changes yourself, but I am not making the changes here as I want to keep the thread in line with the original strategy and guidelines. Personally, I think you are going backwards by increasing the stoploss with the buffer, but not increasing your TP levels proportionally to match it. In the first pic you increased the stoploss of 30 pips by 30% to 39 pips (30 pips x .3= 9 pips). You'll need to make your TP target 30% farther out to make up the extra pips added to your stop. And I'm actually in Iowa City about an hour and a half from Des Moines.

I once have a copy of Jason Fielder's standalone indicator that will update the SL and TP without being trace by the brokers. The indicator was corrupted when I accidentally opened outside mtq4. Once the indicator is placed in the chart it capture the existing trades with the Order #, Type, Symbol/pair, Price, and fields where Stop Loss and TakeProfit to be field up/modified by the trader. If we could come up with the same technique, it would be a good help for manual traders.

I've done my fair share of EA coding. This thread has piqued my interest, let me know if Sqaulou is too busy to implement any of your requested changes, and I'll see what I can do (for free of course). My only requirement is that the EA be posted to the thread for free

In any case, a strategy like this is best suited for a broker like Oanda, which allows for any lotsize you want. There's a lot of talk here about requiring a large amount of capital to trade this strategy due to the martingale, using Oanda would resolve this issue as you can start out the trade as small as needed to manage the risk.

A 1 unit trade on Oanda = 1 cent per 100 pips

Unfortunately Oanda's MT4 platform, like every other MT4, only allows for trades in denominations of 1,000 units (a microlot). This can only be accomplished by coding the EA to control the keyboard and mouse and enter the trade on Oanda's Java interface. I've had success with this in the past, but stopped using it when Oanda's MT4 platform was launched.

If there is any interest here, I can modify the EA to allow for this. At the very least I can add an alert to notify your cell phone when the trades are supposed to be happening, so can you run over to Oanda's platform and do them manually

I am interested in the indicator only and not the EA. I have requested in this thread that if someone has the time to please look at the indicator, on a Monday it does not draw the box, apparently this is because of the Sunday trading (I am with IBFX). Past mondays are all drawn but like today there will be no box. If you have time can You please have a look at it, I think Mer also mentioned it somewhere in this thread.

Does this do what you want? I haven't had time to properly test and I'm still very new to this thread, but it seems this didn't have any unintended side-effects.

Let me know.

Edit: Updated, fixed an issue with the first upload and incremented the version number. I'm not sure how this version will work on other brokers, but it looks good on IBFX. Here's how it looks now with 04:00 - 07:00, end time 12:00

It is drawing the Box now but seems to have a lot of extra data such as Sell stop 1 , sell stop 2 etc wich makes the usefull info like the entry prices and targets almost unreadable, I dont know where this extra info comes from but it was not there before.??

Can you post screenshots of how the standard indicator looks on your screen vs the one I just uploaded?

Hi DodgeV83,
do you think you can modify the MT4 version to stick with martingaling one trade only? Let's say a trade is triggerred after 4:00 - 10:00AM GMT interval and it takes 3 days after the 5th iteration to win, but no other trade would be placed in the meanwhile.

Here is the version of the indicator that I am using, It works perfectly except that it does not draw the Monday Box on a Monday, it actually draws the box but only very late in the day approx. 12:00 Gmt then the box appears.

Are you sure that's the code you're using? When I put it on my chart it looks the same as the one I posted. The screenshots in my previous post show they look the same in that regard.

Can you post your settings as well?

Hey dodge, I'm always interested in any help the comes my way, thank you. Here's the only version of the EA I have (you'll have to check the attachments to see if any newer ones are posted). I have asked sqaulou to make some changes but he has been extremely busy with other projects. If you want to take a crack at it, send me your e-mail address and I will get you the details of how the EA should run.

The sell stop/buy stops are just visual triggers for you to move your stop once the price has reached these points (see pic). Reaching Targets 2 and later, the stops are moved to the level immediate below them. I've attached the latest version that I am using.

By the way john, try using more than just a 30 minute box. That is way too short of a time period to get any kind of consistent results. Just a word of advice, you should try at least a 2-3 hour box, preferably before the London open begins to take advantage of the consolidation before the big movements kick in.

Sorry, My mistake, the attached indicator is what I use, it is an older version. This is the one I want to use.

Hi Mer, I have been trading my strategy for more than a year now with my settings and my RR/ MM I am doing pretty well. Using a larger Box (2 or 3 Hours) most of the time the innitial move is inside your box and you would have missed the large part of the move. I only trade EURUSD and do remember that the European market opens 1 hour before London and being the Euro the breakouts can start during this session. Anyway, every man to his own thinking. Thanks.

Two updates below. One for the "b" version posted above, and one for the version I posted earlier. Now there is a "MondayFix" option. Set to True to apply the fix I made, set to False to take the fix away. Since I'm not sure how this will effect other brokers, I've made it an option.

I tested it in the Strategy Tester (Control - R). It worked fine
